I just happened to look into this site by accident and I noticed that there was somebody named 'Ms. X' posted a thread claiming to have known who was responsible for running over a car off the freeway in somewhere called Greensborough in 1989. It was believed it was commited by a hate-crime due to the suspect was white and the victims were African.

I've seen this case many times and I remember the victim's names; Ken Dungee - who died tragically on sudden impact - Darius Bannerman, Kenneth Lewkirk(assuming last name is correct spelling) and Lavern Allen. But what I'd like to know did police ever caught the bastard who commited the crime? Did the case ever get solved?

Hey! I was the one that sent Ms. X the copy of the story so she could view the composite sketch. She stayed in contact with me a little after she stopped posting. I haven't heard from her in a while and all I know is she did speak with the police from that area. As far as she knew there hadn't been any arrests. I will add the person she thought was responsible was already in prison somewhere on an unrelated charge so hopefully if he is guilty he's not walking the streets.

Hello:

I stumbled across this website by typing in Darius Bannerman's name into Google. Guess what, I am Darius Bannerman. I am 34 years old now and the car accident was 17 years ago. To answer the question, "NO, the person who ran us off the road was never caught". I have forgiven the evils of the person(s) who attempted to harm the four of us. My update is that I am a successful manager at a pharmaceutical company, married, with a 1 yr old. Levern Allen is a computer engineer, and is married. Kenneth Newkirk(my cousin) is a Graphic Designer and is married also.

Thank you for your support and keep writing in to places like these...the person who did this will pay (one way or another).

Thanks so much for stopping by and updating us, Darius. It's sad to hear that the perpetrators have not been caught, but I'm so glad all of you are doing well. You're right, no one can ever truly escape justice. You'll always be welcome here!!

Thanks for dropping by and updating us, Darius. I'm glad you and your friends have been doing well. I greatly admire you for being able to forgive the bastard that did this to you. I don't know if I could have done the same. Then again, I never had to experience what you guys went through that day so I can't honestly say how I would have reacted. But I'm glad that you're doing alright.

Hey Darius, it's cool to actually here from one of the victims on an actual UM episode. What part of the country are you in?

Hi , im surprised the treads are still here. I appreciate you sending me that tape years ago. I think you are wonderful for doing that. There was no doubt in my mind when I watched the tape and saw the sketch, but as far as i kno he was never arrested for it.

Nice to hear from you again! :) It was my pleasure. You are the one to be commended for thinking you know who committed a crime and doing something about it. Sad there was no arrest. I'm guessing they just didn't have enough evidence to charge him.

Glad to hear everyone is happy and moved on with their lives. You are right about the person that did this, he/she/they will pay eventually. Also glad to hear that you are able to forgive them for what they did to you and your friends. That takes a lot of heart. I don't think I ever could.

This is yet another example of a case that, if it happened in today's world, would have been caught very quickly. I hope they find out who did this.
