I think i would have to see more eps of this show before I purchased the DVD because I don;t want to be disappointed if I don't think the show is funny. My memories of this show is foggy and I just need to see some eps again before I make a DVD purchase.

I've seen every episode of this and I would want the DVDs. Damned the syndication. I'm surprised you don't remember the show that well, TVShow A, it used to get syndicated as much as the Jeffersons. I remember as a kid in the early 80s, this came on weekday mornings in the summer after the Jeffersons.

I remember this show enough to know it was a good show. At least during the Flo years. I would buy the DVD.

I would buy the first season without having seen the show for years.
I don't care.

I'd like to see it in syndication as well, but I have no problem buying it and dealing with whatever I make of it.

If you are so worried you can rent it ahead of time.

I remember most of the Alice episodes. I enjoyed the show, but it was nothing really groundbreaking. It really was just a show for simple entertainment purposes. I feel many newe/ younger modern viewers would not care for Alice today. I would buy the early seasons (Flo) on DVD if they were to come out. Alice was seen a lot in the 80s in reruns. It was eerywhere. I noticed it started to disappear in reruns during the 90's. I think it was being shown on TNN before it became Spike TV in 2000 or 01.

agreed-besides, this show ran so long that it's almost impossible to imagine that the distributor would release every season-and who would be willing to shell out the necessary $$ to get 'em?

you could argue that syndicated reruns usually means clipped episodes (to make room for more commercials) but from what i've read, many of these official DVD releases are guilty of the same thing!

I am with the person who saw it every weekday morning in the 80's. I saw them enough in reruns that I know the episodes well even now.

Alice was a great show and should be on tv regardless if it gets put on DVD.

I would buy the DVD's of the early seasons only. I watched the show as a teen in the late '70s when it was on the networks. I also watched it alot in the early '80s during syndication and when it was still struggling on the networks. I saw Alice briefly in the '90s when TNN was playing it to see if I still liked it as an adult. It was still okay, but I can see how it took a nose dive during the post-Flo era. I definitely preferred the earlier seasons with Flo. The episodes were better written as well as the Flo factor.

Like someone here said, I'm not sure if a younger audience today would dig this show. "Alice" was a middle-of-the-road comedy at best both then and now.

I agree. I would buy the early seasons with Flo in a heartbeat if they come out. But not the Jolene years. No freaking Way!!!!!!! Could not stand those years.
