Most I've EVER listened to a single song in a day was around 15 times, and thats rare. Gets old too fast then, 6 hours straight? I'd be ready to break my headphones.

Songs included 'Tori Amos-1000 Oceans' and Britney Spears 'Run Away'.

Not really. I do play a song over and over, maybe a few times, but not 6 hours. Must be some song, huh?

When I DL Clays Solitaire for the first time, I listened to it for 3 days straight, 2+hrs everynight. Then I listened to it in my car nonstop driving. I still do. Its one of the few songs Ill never get sick of.

:lol: yeah, I think I could. I've listened to nothing but Beatles for an entire weekend a couple times.

I went insane over REM's 'Losing My Religion' in 91, and then the song 'Just Another Day', by Jon Secada. I played them almost until my ears bled. :crazy:

As a kid, "My Sharona" and a lot of KISS songs, particularly "I Stole Your Love."

But there are dozens of songs I used to listen to over and over again.

Yeah, I find a song like that about every two weeks and play it until I get sick of it...then I find another one to play over and over. Ahaha, I get that from my mom. She does that.

I don't do it now but when "Take My Breath Away" first came out, I couldn't listen to it enough. :lol:

I have songs like that, although I can't say I did it for 6 hours, maybe an hour....

I do that when a song that catches my ear comes out.... I run out and buy the album and then put my CD player on repeat song and listen to it over and over...

My more recent additions to this catagory have been "Sunrise"- Duran Duran, "Vertigo"- U2, and before these two-- "I Have Been Waiting for You" Seal. I tend to like songs with interesting music more than words.... these songs have really cool chord changes and building climaxes IMHO. Those are the kinds of songs that really hook me.

And even tho you could count "Vertigo" in this catagory, I do hate when a song gets played over and over on the radio till you are sick of it. There have been lots of songs that fit that bill. I guess a person should be able to pick which songs they want to play over and over. That is why I listen to more CD's in the car than the radio these days.

Six hours straight?No. Maybe SIX TIMES in a row.:cool: I can listen to a song for about 30 minutes without changing the song(Assuming the song is 5 minutes long, and most songs are less than that, about 4 minutes, maybe less than that, around 3.30 minutes):)

I remember when I was 7, driving my mom crazy because I played "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper over and over and over until she finally asked me if I could play something else :lol:. Same happened when I was 9 with "Like A Prayer" by Madonna, kept playing the song over and over when it came out until the tape wore out.

Nowadays, I'm nowhere as bad as when I could play a Cyndi Lauper or Madonna song 20 times in a day

I've never played a song for six hours straight, but there have been ones which I have played over and over again for maybe about an hour. "Imagine" by John Lennon, "The Long And Winding Road" by the Beatles, "Love Walks In" by Van Halen and "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls are four such songs.

There are tons of songs I could listen to all the time songs such as:

Manic Monday- Bangles

Any Heart or Alison Krauss song

When i first got a copy of a song called "All the way to Memphis" by Mott the Hoople, i listened to that song about 20 times in a roll. And there's been others too.

I played the mess out of "Nothing Compares to You", the Sinead O Connor version when I was 15, it was during my first heartbreak and the same year was George Michael's "Freedom".

Today it's "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down and "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse. I played the mess out of her whole CD.

anyway ive done that a few times, the most recent being Crush the day it came out. i listen to songs twice in a row all the time though. some songs...once just isnt enough lol
