No!

I was thinking I would try to make one of these poles every time N@N gets a new show.

Defintely Murphy Brown, it's ten times better than any other shows on N@N, imo.

Whats the best show on N@N?

Since "Wings" just left N@N :( , I voted for "Who's the Boss?," although I've been getting into "Murphy Brown" as well.

It was Wings. Next would be WTB.

I'd say Roseanne with Murphy Brown in a close second...... What's everyone's impression of Murphy Brown on N@N so far? This is obviously directed to those out there who've never seen the show.

Ever since Murphy Brown came, its been starting to grow on me. After Roseanne (of course ;) ) , its probably second. Overall, I think it's good.

When did Wings hit the road? That stinks :(

I'd say Wings if it was still there.

Otherwise, I'm just pissed.

They do episodes from all seasons and years ( seasons 1-9 ~ years 1988-97).

I voted for Wings even though it's not on N@N anymore. I never watched it on there anyways...

When did Wings hit the road? That stinks :(

They took it off Friday :livid: I'm ticked about it too. I can say at least TVLAND is still doing the Wings Marathons on Fridays though

From best to worst....
The Cosby Show
Wings
Roseanne
The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
Murphy Brown
Who's The Boss?
Full House
Fatherhood

I'd buy them all on DVD, besides "Fatherhood."

What Wings marathons? Please elaborate and explain. ;)

TVLAND does mini marathons of shows, and Friday afternoons from 5-8pm they have a Wings Marathon :)

I don't think I have ever watched a whole episode of Murphy Brown. In brief, what is the sitcom based about?

The characters work at a tv station, working on a show called "FYI." I haven't been watching it for very long.

Thanks Sara. So, you are liking the show fairly well? I'm still going to miss Wings, though. :(

You're welcome. Yes, I'm liking the show fairly well. It's not half bad. :) ;)

What I really want to know is, What happened to Nick@Nite? That channel was sooo awesome years back. Now it's Cosby all the time. Did he buy the channel or what.
Bring back 70's sitcoms!!

Angela, isn't Cosby on two times a day? It's not on all the time on my Nick, is it yours?

I know, it's only twice a night. That's what I was referring too :) If anything Fresh Prince, Roseanne and Full House are on all the time ;)

Roseanne is the best show on bar none!

I never got into Murphy Brown, I used to watch it back in the mid 90's but I wouldnt watch it again, it never caught my interest.

For some unexplained reason, I never watched Wings or Fresh Prince when they originally aired on NBC. But, thanks to Nick at Nite, I've become a fan of both and feel I really missed out during their first incarnations. In fact, I've seen almost every episode of each -- I assume N@N has shown them all -- and love watching the episodes again and again. I have become especially fond of Wings; I think it's well-written, has some great characters, and is very, very funny.

When N@N was first launched, it was more like TV Land was meant to be, airing b&w classics. They were showing Donna Reed and Dick Van Dyke. I remember it actually took to the airwaves at 7 p.m. with Mr. Ed! But TV Land, originally known as Nick at Nite's TV Land, took on that role as a repository for classics, while N@N, I believe, tried to hold on to the Nickelodeon audience of young parents by showing "modern classics."

With the exception of The Cosby Show, N@N has really rid its schedule of timeless classics. This was the same network that, at one time, was home to such outstanding series as I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family, Taxi, The Bob Newhart Show, Happy Days, Bewitched, and The Wonder Years. Then it modernized with more contemporary classics like Cheers, Family Ties, Three's Company, and Cosby, which was a good move too. However, most of the shows that air now are mixed with high points and low points, or, in other words, "B" sitcoms. Although they were popular for a time and still remain fun to watch, they are nowhere near the greatness of the programs that previously aired on this network. I prefer to watch TV Land for that reason.

I like Nick at Nite better now than I did in years past. I guess it's because they're playing shows that I remember :D. Shows from the 70s and earlier should stay in TV Land, IMO.

I agree that Fresh Prince, Full House and Who's The Boss? are shows that should never be regarded as great series. They're fun, fluffy shows.... that will be remembered like Green Acres and Gilligan's Island.

I do however think that Wings, Murphy Brown and Roseanne are up there with TCS as truly great series, that in the future (and now) will be placed alongside such hits as I Love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore and All in the Family.

I'd have to say my fave N@N show right now is "Murphy Brown," since "Wings" has defected to TV Land. Although, N@N is treating MB pretty badly lately w/ the time they air it and the order they play eps in sometimes.

I don't think Wings is very much like Cheers at all. Both shows are great in their own way. Personally, I'd rather watch Wings over Cheers.

Anyhoo, the only N@N show I really watch anymore is The Cosby Show, and even then I only watch once in a while.
