Whew... that was one to remember. Worse than I expected, but it could have been a lot worse. The roads were fine the whole time. Tons of ice in the trees and on powerlines. It was a winter wonderland this morning(and even as of 5pm at my grandparent's house 30 miles north of here). Lost power about 4am this morning but all is back now and the ice is mostly gone.

That was my first significant ice storm in at LEAST 5 years.

I am glad your power is back on! I hate ice storms. We had a really bad one a couple years and lost power for six days!!!! Everything in my house is electric and I about froze to death. I live out in the boonies so it took a while for the power company to fix all of the lines.

lollllllll it's like 70° here lately. it only snows like once every couple years and it just melts away in a day or two.

I survived the ice storm of 1992. My grandmother lost power for a week. I win.
