We are living in a time when kids cant go out after dark without their face ending up on a milk carton.
I laughed when i first heard this, but how true it is,and how tragic. When i was growing up,i recall my parents not even having to lock and bolt the windows every night because the neighborhood i resided in was so safe, nowadays,we aren't even safe in our own homes. Its only going to get worse. We are now living in fear every minute of our lives. What changed? THE PEOPLE? Why was growing up in the 80's alot safer than today? I dont understand it,why the sudden wave of crime and brutality in this era?

I don't know. I didn't think the 80s was even safe.

Let's blame the rise of big cities and those damn suburbs. I mean, why not?

I don't think the 80's were much safer than it is now. Back then we still had to lock our doors, watch out for strangers etc. Kids went missing all over the country just like today, we just didn't hear about it as much.

Yeah I don't think anything has changed except for media coverage. Nowadays if a kid is missing in Indiana, the whole state knows about it through tv and radio stations issuing an amber alert.

I think crime hits no matter where you live. You're aren't safe in neither
a small town or big city. It's really getting out of hand.
