Well actually, Jack did deserve the credit. Not to start an argument here, but let's look at a few facts here from the show. Jack's name and reputation had to carry the restraurant, it was his Bistro. That would lead us to believe that he uses his own receipes to make the food for his customers. Now also, in the show where Jack open the Bistro, He does the cooking. He has the food going when the guy he hired to help calls in to say he can't make it. Mr Furley offers to help until he finds out that he has to ladle out the food. So that tells us that Jack cooked the food himself, the helper in the kitchen just made up the orders as they were ordered. Another thing that tells us that Jack at least got the food ready for his customers was in the show Janet's Little Helper. She was expecting him to leave and she shoves him out the door when he tells her that he doesn't open for another 2 hours. She said that the owner needed to be there early anyway. What this says is that it was normal for him to go in and get things started at least 2 hours before his bistro opened up. So you see, Jack did deserve the credit! :)
