Hi all,

This week I have been unable to record Mama's Family, either of the showings at 6 or 6:30 EST AM.

I set my box to record and it starts at 6:00 am and ends at 6:00 am, as well as, 6:30 am and ending at 6:30 am, every morning this week.

I have Time Warner Cable, I'm in Columbus Ohio. I'm using their 'DVR' box which is essentially 'Tivo'. I've used it for nearly a year now and this has never happened.

But, this entire week, every showing of Mama's Family has done this. It's never happened with any of the programs my wife or I record.

Any ideas? Is TBS showing MF at a different time now and maybe my Time Warner guide just isn't getting the updates from Time Warner?

Again, any ideas?

I wish I still had my DISH DVR. I was rollin in episodes of Mama...

I also have Time Warner Cable, however it's here in New York. First off Time Warner's DVR boxes are tricky. I'm already up to my third, and have read on-line about people having to return them because they don't work properly more often than not. Luckily, I've had this one for a few months, and all is well. So with that said, make sure it's not a glitch on your DVR's harddrive. What you could try is rebooting the box... Hold the power button on the cable box itself down until the screen says BOOT, then let go, wait until the time appears, and the turn the box back on. It will refresh itself, and the picture should come back in a minute. (Don't worry, none of your recordings will be gone). Also, make sure that your cable box is not resetting itself, Time Warner usually has the boxes reboot themself early in the morning sometimes, when they send them updates, and this would result in your recordings not recording properly.

A last piece of advice, and what I do personally, to tape Mama, is set up a manually recording.

Here's how:

Click settings on your remote control, select Record This Channel, Click select, Select Create A Manual Recording, Make sure to select recurring, and then TBS, Monday-Friday, from (to play it safe), 5:55am to 7:05am.

Don't know what the problem is but I recorded the whole series way back in '97 and I had no trouble then! In fact just tonight I was watching them again on my tapes! I could not live without my Mama tapes!
Isn't that pathetic?! :lol: :crazy: My poor husband is forced to watch them with me. But he really doesn't mind.............. He likes them too! I am blessed! :lol:
