evermore 01-29-2005, 12:05 AM The Many Loves of Wally Cleaver (3): Wally's Carnival Adventure
It's early Saturday morning in the Cleaver home. We see Wally waking in bed. He stretches and yawns. Beaver asks Wally about his date the previous evening with Marlene Holmes. Wally says he looked forward to his date with Marlene, but, as the evening wore on, he found her very much wanting in the tastes of the gently bred, respectable women he's accustomed to dating. Wally says he was terribly disappointed.
He tells Beaver he's determined not to let the blues get the best of him however and indicates he's going to spend the day at the carnival in Belport having fun. He dresses quickly and hurries downstairs. Over breakfast, Wally mentions his plans for the day to his parents. Ward and June express their misgivings about a trip so far from home but they understand Wally's need to be alone - to heal, to get his mind on something other than Marlene - and wave goodbye cheerfully as Wally departs.
We see Wally driving along a lonely stretch of rural road. In a close up, he appears despondent and unhappy. "Marlene, Marlene! Why? Why?" he murmurs brokenly. A tear glimmers in the corner of his eye. Suddenly his brow furrows with concern as he spots a car pulled to the side of the road ahead. The car's hood is raised. A dark-haired, slim young woman in sunglasses, Capri pants, a polka dot midriff, throat scarf, broad brimmed straw hat, and wedgies paces back and forth nervously.
Wally pulls to the side of the road to offer the young woman his help. The young woman removes her sunglasses and Wally gasps in astonishment. "Annette! Annette Funicello!" he cries, "You're Annette Funicello, the movie star! You're a Mouseketeer! You make all those beach movies!"
"Yes, I'm Annette," she responds smiling, "And yes, I make those 'beach movies.' But please! I would be so grateful if you could help me! I need to be in Utica, New York for a family event tomorrow afternoon and my car conked out all of a sudden, and ... and ... oh! Isn't there something you could do?"
Wally rushes to take a look at the engine. The sun is hot; Wally removes his shirt. His nipples become erect. His muscles gleam in the hot sun as he inspects every screw under Annette's hood. Annette watches him closely with more than casual interest. She twitches and fidgets. It is evident that Annette is profoundly stimulated by this glorious specimen of youthful manliness!
Wally completes his inspection and tells Annette the car will need to be taken to a garage for repair. He offers Annette a lift to the village a mile away where a garage is located. Annette accepts his offer. Wally puts his shirt on and hops into his car. Annette bounces in beside him and the two are seen speeding away.
Next, we see a tow truck hoisting Annette's car. Wally and Annette are standing beside the road. The tow driver tells Annette the car will be ready for pick up at 5 pm. Annette sighs. The tow departs for the garage with Annette's car.
"My goodness! What's a damsel in distress to do now?" Annette wonders aloud. Wally mentions the carnival in Belport. Annette says she would love to go to a carnival. The couple hop into Wally's car and speed away.
Wally and Annette are seen enjoying a variety of activities at the carnival. They ride the Merry-Go-Round together, then the Ferris Wheel, then the Tilt-a-Whirl. Annette feigns dizziness. Wally wins a doll at a shooting gallery and presents it to Annette. Annette is charmed with the gift. The two hungrily devour hot dogs, ice cream cones, cotton candy, and Cokes.
Wally and Annette are seen riding the roller coaster. Wally's arm is around Annette's shoulders. Annette screams playfully as the car plunges up and down and the couple are tossed side to side. Wally tightens his grip around Annette's shoulders. Annette presses herself into Wally's chest to seek his protection. They look deeply into one another's eyes. Wally flushes brilliantly. His nostrils flare manfully.
The afternoon grows late. Wally and Annette are seen strolling hand in hand in a lonely, quiet grove at the edge of the carnival grounds. Annette carries the doll and a bright red balloon. They are both silent and thoughtful; they know they must soon part.
Annette turns to Wally and sighs. "Thank you, Wally. Thank you for a wonderful, wonderful day! I've been so busy making beach movies that I thought I'd forgotten how to have fun!" Annette stands on tiptoe and plants a kiss on Wally's cheek. "Thank you, thank you, Wally. Thank you so much for making me happy!"
Wally rips Annette's sunglasses from her face. With one swift movement, he draws her close and kisses her with passionate intensity. Startled, Annette drops the doll. Then - as Wally's kiss deepens with manly assertiveness - Annette throws her arms around Wally's neck in rapture. Wally's kiss deepens ... brutally, almost painfully. Annette responds with a woman's instincts - she raises her leg and wraps it around Wally's thigh. "I must have this man!" she gasps brokenly, "Oh, God! Please! I must have this man!"
Wally's hand is seen groping the bare flesh at the edge of Annette's midriff. Annette stiffens beneath Wally's rough, calloused hand. Wally draws Annette closer with manly sureness and possessiveness. He presses himself into her with fierce abandon. Annette throws her head back and gasps aloud with womanly joy and ecstasy. The red balloon is loosed and drifts slowly to the heavens. Music and fade.
At the last, we see Annette and Wally at the garage. Annette once again thanks Wally for a memorable day. "And remember what I said about coming to Hollywood for a visit," she adds with a wink. Annette gets into her car, smiles radiantly, blows a kiss to Wally, and speeds away.
Wally climbs into his car. His chest heaves with fulfillment and contentment. He feels more like a man than ever before. He pulls slowly away from the garage - all thought of Marlene Holmes wiped completely from his mind.

I completely agree! What hypocrisy for the "owner of the site" to claim it is family oriented and be concerned about young people, while allowing this "soft porn" to remain!
