It is moving quite fast. But after this week it goes off for February and returns with the rest of the season in March and yes it may end earlier then other shows or it may not because I read at another site that somebody said they read at The Internet Movie Data Base site there's 9 episodes left after its February Break. They can always add to what is listed they've done this with quite a few shows.North Shore being one. The reason they don't do the show in more real time (for example, an episode shown in March being set in March) is that they want to cover the summer, but because the show isn't running new episodes in the summer, the only way to do that is to skip ahead a little.

According to Patty's most recent diary entry on the NBC website, Beth and JJ's wedding date is April 23, 1966, so I suppose the timeframe makes sense to have the prom. Although, they've been playing fast and loose with the dates. Here are when some of the events happened according to her diary entries:
John III's birthday is December 16, 1965
JJ comes home January 15, 1966
Patty wins the Science Fair March 10, 1966
Preparation for the wedding and Patty hands over her Science Fair trophy April 16, 1966
So basically, between the episode before and after the holidays, we skipped entirely over February 1966.
Perhaps the reasoning for this is because the show's writers and producers were not sure whether the back 9 episodes would be picked up and were trying to fit in as much as possible.

Thanks, Biiiiattrixxx! By the way, were you the one who asked for a recap of last week's episode in another post? I was thinking about doing one, but it will probably take longer, but I wanted to make sure that was the episode you were refering to.
