I wish I can bring some good news about game shows, But here it is.

Game shows......... for the next 5 years, No Action for NATPE on Any Possible Game Show Pilots
Barely three months remain before programmers, distributors and networks converge on Las Vegas for the annual National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) convention and the news is not good on the game show front.
No new games are on the list of any syndicator and selling of new product for the following season usually begins no later than November.
At least six new talk show candidates (though probably only two or three will gain enough sales to earn a 2005-06 berth) are being touted.
No trade publication is featuring an ad for a new game. The only significant product which is reportedly in development is a television version of Cranium but the early line is the show would not be ready for next season.
If no new game is offered for sale, 2005-06 would mark the first time since game shows began in earnest in syndication 40 years ago that the genre is shut out for a third consecutive season.

Pav, will Lifetime still be airing syndicated episodes of "Reba?" I read it was slated to air on syndication starting on August 2005 - is it still 2005 or was the year you listed a mistake? If it really is 2006, then I guess Lifetime pushed it a year later. Just wondering.

I am not going to watch South Park at all in syndication. I got the first four seasons on DVD, no need to watch a butchered version of the show.

I am looking forward to My Wife And Kids coming to syndication. I never saw the first season, interested to watch episodes with the first Clair.

Yeah, and it is real sad to see such a good genre going down the tube and into the fire. But since Wheel is becoming inviting to suspicious terrorists and I really hate Pat Sajak it is likely the main cause of game shows dwindling down.

I don't think so at all, it's really more of a family based show. Some episodes focus on Lauren, some Brian, but mostly just Bill and Judy who are the main stars.

Usually it takes syndicated shows 4-5 years to syndicate a show. King of Queens debuted in Fall 2003 because the syndicator needed some storage time before it can be released.

JTC is reporting that The Tyra Banks Show will air at 5PM on WWOR and encores the next day at 9am on WNYW.

WPIX is airing MY WIFE & KIDS Monday-Fridays at 5pm and at 5:30pm, with a
Saturday run at 1:30pm.

Looks decent. I'm not surprised about The Nanny and Mad About You to WWOR. I also saw a promo that says Montel will air on WWOR at 4PM, so Fear Factor will be displaced. Hopefully Cops disappears all together.

BTW, if you live anywhere between Sacramento and Bakersfield, CA. In Sacto, My Wife & Kids will air on KMAX TV UPN 31 weeknights at 6:30 and 11:30 PM replacing Home Improvement and the 2nd episode of King of Queens on UPN 31 cable 12. KTXL Fox 40 in Sacto will be having Bernie Mac Show weekdays at 5 PM and 11:30 PM and South Park will air weeknights at 12 AM and 12:30 AM on FOX 40/cable 8 in Sacto/Stockton/Modesto, CA.

Tyra's new show will replace the now cancelled Larry Elder show at 10 AM right after the highest rated morning program Good Day Sacramento on UPN 31 cable 12.

OK. I didn't know at first that W&G was off the schedule for good but now i know. I apologize for the error on my part. But anyway, Da Vinci's Inquest. Is that show a weekday throughfare or a weekend show on WGN Superstation? There is a chance that a sitcom like Taxi and/or Charles in Charge can end up on WWOR, but not confirmed yet. Just Shoot Me (starting 9/12) and Spin City (starting 9/26) are gone. I will post what will replace Spin City starting 9/26 when I get the information.

Hey pavanbdal, I finally found out when Enterprise will air in NYC, it will air starting Sept. 18th at 12:35 AM on WNBC ch. 4 right after the George Michael Sports Machine and Sports Extra on WNBC.

Of the sitcoms that debuted in syndication this week, what edits have you noticed?

I have already noticed one, and it was a terrible job of editing. The first episode of "My Wife And Kids", they edit the part when Michael does he impress of a rap concert. He starts his impression, than the cut the rest. Terrible job of editing, because anyone can see it is an edit.

I understand they have to be edits, but be more suttle.

The Philadelphia area recieved WWOR back in 1989/90 and then all of a sudden it stopped. I used to watch Knicks games on that channel

King World's veteran Inside Edition is moving from WPIX-TV at 1:30 a.m. in New York to WNYW-TV at 12 p.m. effective on Monday, Sept. 26. WNYW will air a second run at 1:30 a.m. weeknights, with a weekend run Sunday at 1 a.m.

King World's veteran Inside Edition is moving from WPIX-TV at 1:30 a.m. in New York to WNYW-TV at 12 p.m. effective on Monday, Sept. 26. WNYW will air a second run at 1:30 a.m. weeknights, with a weekend run Sunday at 1 a.m.
I bet you that the reason why WNYW bought Inside Edition from WPIX is becuase of the recent announcement by FOX of cancelling A Current Affaire and replacing it with Geraldo Rivera's show. But then again, that's just me. :)

Fox-owned WNYW New York is adding King World's syndicated news mag, Inside Edition, to its lineup starting Monday, Sept. 26.

The show, which had been airing at 4:30 a.m. on WPIX New York, will be slotted at noon on WNYW. It bumps a second run of syndicated news mag, A Current Affair, from noon to 12:30 (Affair's primary run is at 6:30 p.m.). Affair, in turn, repaces a third run of Judge Hatchett, which WNYW is burying.

A second edition of Edition will air at 1:30 a.m., plus a Sunday 1 a.m. run.

The station expects to move the primary run of Edition to 4 p.m. in late October, bumping one of two episodes of Family Feud, which has been doubling up at 4-5.

Affair, which is distributed by Fox sibling Twentieth, will eventually be going away, replaced by a Geraldo Rivera-hosted show.
