A friend of mine once told me that she can't talk to certain people when

I'm sure there is. They have a phobia for everything nowadays.

I have issues with hair too. If someone's hair is weird, I can't really look at them, or I gag. And then I feel bad. But I gag at my own hair too.

i think that they is a fear of hairstyles of some people...................but to think about i think there is a fear of everything out there :)

:eek: I have a phobia of people with really small mouths. There's a lady that works at a store here in town and I can't stop looking at her hair...It's just soooo BIG and poofy.

Reminds me of that episode of King of Queens when Carrie started wearing her hair in a bun and it drove Doug insane LOL

there's a fear for everything. those phobia names like for fear of leaving your house are just prefixes and root words put together, very few of them are even real words. the fear of rain would be nimbophobia, for example.

it makes sense if she isn't used to it. it's common for people to feel uncomfortable around others with traits they aren't used to. even race, religion, etc, though it's just natural, not at all any type of prejudice.

the prefix "nimb" comes from the word nimbi. A nimbi is a rain cloud.

Trichopathophobia or Trichophobia- Fear of hair. (Chaetophobia, Hypertrichophobia)

Half the phobias at the site are ridiculous.Most of them are probaly just in the victim's head.I remember in highschool we had to write about our phobias and read them to the class and one girl said "dogs,cats,birds,planes,ants,bugs,spiders,bees, (the list went on) and my teacher said,"Do you go outside?"
