I lost all interest in "Raymond" a couple of years back, but I think I'll tune in for the finale. I hope it's decent and they can come up with a new plot, maybe actually have Marie say something nice to Debra and Ray actually wants to help out around the house and hang with his kids.

Last show for Everybody Loves Raymond

ONE of US TV's most popular sitcoms, Everybody Loves Raymond, will end its nine-year run this year, but viewers shouldn't expect a supersized, super-stuffed finale.

The last episode of Raymond will be just a regular half-hour, US TV network CBS said.
"We didn't want to milk the story into an hour," series star Ray Romano said.

While executive producer Phil Rosenthal added: "There's been enough of that."

However, the network will precede that 30 minutes with an hour-long retrospective to make it attractive to advertisers.

The cast is filming the finale this week.

They're staying mum about whether the battling Barone family will exit arguing.

However there will be a one-hour special, taking a look back at Everybody Loves Raymond's nine year run airing at 8PM Eastern that night followed by the 30 minute finale.
