With the Petersons out and Kellie is away from the boys due to her cold, Shawn is forced to look after the boys alone for the night. Shawn decides he can't handle it and asks the single neighbor lady, Bonnie (Teri Garr) to help him out with Rory and Tristan.

Kellie, Jodie, and Mark witness that Shawn is nowhere to be found and left the boys with Bonnie. Shawn returns (from the store-picking up more diapers). Kellie and the Petersons assume Shawn just left Bonnie in charge of the kids as he went out for a drink-yet they all soon learn Shawn went out for more diapers and left Bonnie with the kids. They each apologize to Shawn and thank Bonnie.

Shawn accidently spills the beans about the party to him, resulting in Kellie and Jodie being angry with Shawn for telling Mark, and Mark being upset with Jodie for having party after she knows he hates parties.
