View Full Version : Psychics
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-26-2005, 07:30 PM What do you people think about them? I can't say I have any strong opinion on it either way, but my mom went to one months ago and she said everything she's told her has happened. Like, she was told a relative would need her to lean on because of a divorce and my mom would be helping her out alot. Her cousin, has been hanging around my mom so much lately, divorced. Another, my mom would find a new job she enjoyed. She did. Another, without any background information...she was telling my mom how one of us was a lot like my dad (my sister) and the other had this burning rage toward him (er something) me. And finally, my mom recently go that eye operation so you can see clear without contacts. Before that my mom's eyes were fine, now...she's been having a little trouble with them, especially at night. My mom went to this psychic party...months before she even decided on getting that surgery and the psychic said she'd have trouble with night vision one day. My mom was confused by that one, though, because there was nothing wrong with her eyes besides the fact that she needed contacts. It's funny because the day before she had to go get it, I was thinking about what the lady said about her eyes. I didn't even bother saying anything, though, because I thought I'd sound stupid.
Anyway...what I think is that all animals have some sort of sixth sense. For example, the tsunami? Do you know how many animals went to higher land days before it hit? I think people have it, too, we're just too busy with our everyday lives to notice. Maybe it's not all...magical, blah blah...like they make it out to be on TV...but I think it's SOMETHING.
:lookaroun The end?
Janet McFarland 01-26-2005, 07:52 PM I'd like to go to a psychic one day. I've heard stories of people who have went to them and everything they had said had came true. I just think that is awesome. So I'll probably end up going to a psychic one day
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-26-2005, 07:53 PM I'd like to go to a psychic one day. I've heard stories of people who have went to them and everything they had said had came true. I just think that is awesome. So I'll probably end up going to a psychic one day :lol:I know, I was asking my mom if there's any certain age you have to be, and she said probably not...But my mom said she went to a party that hired one. HMm...I remember she got a card from her. I want to go and see if what she tells me happens now. :snob:

Yeah see I love that kind of stuff. Like psychics, aliens, ghosts, you name it. I just think it's so fascinating.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-26-2005, 07:59 PM Yeah see I love that kind of stuff. Like psychics, aliens, ghosts, you name it. I just think it's so fascinating.Yeah, it is. Ghost stories are the only scary movies I'm interested it. All of the other ones seem stupid. And aliens, I totally believe there's other life form out there. In this vassst universe, it's impossible for there not to be.
Michael [hXc] 01-26-2005, 08:29 PM I think that it's really cool and phychics actually have ways of telling what is going to happen. but some people who see one (my dad) purposely go out of their way to make what the phychic said happen. so i really don't know
TheGreatPretender 01-26-2005, 09:04 PM My aunts and I went to a psyhcic two summers ago on the boardwalk near my aunt's beachouse. I wasn't aloud to go in but the lady told my one aunt that she would run away during the winter with this guy named Steve during that winter and my other aunt would have triplets and seven more kids. MM so far that hasn't happened yet.
Rebel Queen 1980 01-26-2005, 10:20 PM I think I'm a bit psychic myself because last year I told my dad and
brother that the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patroits would
be playing for the Super Bowl in 2005. Look What Happened?!
I never been to one of them real so-called ones before.
dawsongirl 01-27-2005, 01:18 AM I don't buy it at all. But that's just me. I'm one of those, if you can't scientifically prove it, it's not real kind of people.
Rebel Queen 1980 01-27-2005, 01:33 AM I don't know my mom thinks that I might have ESP,because I can sometimes
feel things or events coming up before they even happen. Weird huh?
robyrob 01-27-2005, 08:44 AM My mom went to see a psychic when I was about 8 or 9, he told her a number of things that came true, one of which was that she would seriously hurt one of her own kids, and that it would be a head injury.
Of course she thought that was ridiculous, but about two months later, we were tearing down an old chicken coop in the back yard and my 7 yo brother decides to run INSIDE the coop just as mom was swingin her hammer at a rotten board. The hammer went right through the wood and popped him on the head. We rushed the little twit to the emergency room - it wasnt serious, about a dozen stiches (green thread), and that was it. However when my brother explained it to the doctor/nurses he said, "She hit me with a hammer - and she did it ON PURPOSE!" That took some explaining....
She STILL feels guilty about it to this day...
And my brother is still a twit.

*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-27-2005, 03:34 PM I don't buy it at all. But that's just me. I'm one of those, if you can't scientifically prove it, it's not real kind of people.See, I'm pretty much one of those, too...which is why I can't really have any opinion on it. The things she said would happen, happened, that's what caught me.

Hollow 01-28-2005, 08:34 PM i have extra sensory abilities but i can't predict the future on cue or anything. i always get these weird ideas out of nowhere that something is about to happen, and it does.

Mmmhmm, that happens to me a lot. I think everyone has it, just not everyone pays attention to it. The real 6th sense no one can find any proof for. That's where the word coincidence came from.

that's true. i doubt god just blessed certain people with a sixth sense (he hates me enough, he'd never do anything like that for me  ), it's just a matter of developing it.

Yeah I feel like I have that too sometimes.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-28-2005, 08:48 PM that's true. i doubt god just blessed certain people with a sixth sense (he hates me enough, he'd never do anything like that for me  ), it's just a matter of developing it.I don't think it's so much developing it...it's just something we have. We can smell, we can hear...those things are just more obvious. Predicting stuff isn't. And people definately don't have time or even want to pay attention to those things alot. Like before about the animals and the whole tsunami thing...how a lot of them just flocked uphill? I guess animals have less to think about and so they pay attention to it.
Or, ya know, I could be full of absolute and complete bull****. k peace, i out.
Belair 01-29-2005, 02:13 AM Psychics excite me as well as scare me.I wonder who gives them the power to see the future? I mean,i am a big believer in the Christian faith and i am not supposed to believe in psychics, because they go against God.I think its Satan giving them the power, certainly not God.Its Satan's way of converting people to believe in him.Well thats just what i think anyway.
Sometimes i think I'd like to see a psychic, but what if they tell me something awful that i have to live with? I dont think i'd want to know.

Not to turn this into a religious debate, but how does it go against god? in all reality, no one can help it whether they're psychic.

But who gives them that power? All i am saying is,i dont think its God.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 01-29-2005, 10:37 AM My aunt is big on the psychic thing. There was a psychic speaking to a group once and she predicted that a woman in the audience named Pat would marry a man named Dan, or something along those lines. 2 years later, my Aunt Pat married my Uncle Dan.
D-Dey 01-29-2005, 01:55 PM Let me put it this way -- near the end of 2004, Montel Williams was having a show on how Sylvia Browne's predictions had all come true, but I remember an episode where she said North Korea would launch nucelar missiles at Florida in the Summer of 2004. I can assure you that from the last phone call I've made to my parents, Florida was not hit with nuclear missiles.
 :cuckoo :p
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-29-2005, 02:36 PM But who gives them that power? All i am saying is,i dont think its God.
It's not a power. It's a sense, like seeing or smelling.
