Hot off the ABC presses:

"EYES," A NEW ONE-HOUR DRAMA SERIES FROM JOHN McNAMARA
AND STARRING TIM DALY, TO PREMIERE WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30
ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

"Eyes," a new one-hour drama series from John McNamara -- the executive producer of "Fastlane" and the co-creator of "Profit" -- will premiere WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

In the new drama series, impulsive, sharp-witted Harlan Judd (Tim Daly) runs Judd Risk Management, a discreet, high-tech firm that handles the cases with the highest possible stakes, while operating at the absolute fringe of the law. Along with ruthlessly efficient Nora Gage (Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon) and a staff of brilliantly skilled, driven individuals -- some with their own agendas and secrets -- Harlan does whatever it takes to prevail in a world of unsteady alliances and uncertain loyalties.

Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m., "Eyes" will follow "Lost" and "Alias." Both ABC dramas have boosted the Network's totals in their respective hours. Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., "Lost" has improved its time slot by 6.9 million viewers and by 62% among Adults 18-49 over last season. Wednesday at 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Alias" has improved its hour by 4.2 million viewers and by 32% among Adults 18-49 over the same point last year.

Editors please note: "Wife Swap," which continues to perform well in the Wednesday 10:00 p.m. timeslot, will have aired 22 original episodes by the "Eyes" premiere date.

"Eyes" stars Tim Daly ("Wings") as Harlan Judd, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon ("NYPD Blue") as Nora Gage, Rick Worthy ("Collateral Damage") as Chris Didion, Laura Leighton ("Melrose Place") as Leslie Town, Natalie Zea ("The Shield") as Trish Agermeyer, A.J. Langer ("My So-Called Life") as Meg Bardo and Eric Mabius as Jeff McCann.

Created and executive-produced by John McNamara ("Fastlane," "Profit," "The Fugitive"), "Eyes" is a McNamara Paper Products production in association with Warner Bros. Television.

...impulsive, sharp-witted Harlan Judd (Tim Daly) ...

Impulsive? I guess Tim wants to get as far away from Joe Hackett as he possibly can!

I was thinking the same thing! That's good news that Tim's new series will be on Wednesday nights at 10....With "Lost" and "Alias", Wednesdays are a strong night for ABC.

I've been seeing ABC promos for their new series "EYES" with Tim Daly, and the show looks like a lot of fun, even though it's a drama. There seems to be quite a bit of light humor in it, and Tim's character looks like he's going to be kind of a rascally ladies' man.

I'm really looking forward to "EYES" and Tim Daly's return to series television....I hope that the show is a success!

"I got a bad complication....I keep it to myself....I got some strange information....I can't think of nothin' else....There must be about a million....single ways to go down....I'm just a lonely stranger in this time bomb town..."

I, of course, couldn't resist.

Hehe to McFly. ;)

I can't wait to watch this show, Eyes...Tim looks H-O-T and it does look kind of like a dramedy. Love those. :D

I don't think it looks like a dramedy at all.

It seems to be a humorous drama.... which is a lot different.

First of all.. holy crap, new board format! (yeah, it's been a long time)

and second of all, I can't wait to see this show. I've seen a few previews for it, and it looks really good. It'll be great to see Tim in a weekly TV show again!

Sounds kind of like Boston Legal and James Spader's character then. Cool.

It does. I hope the show does good, so far ABC hasn't been impressing me with their midseason shows.

Although Grey's Anatomy looks amazing.

Grey's Anatomy got a very scathing review in tvguide

This show looks good and I love Laura Leighton from her days on Melrose Place.

I do like Blind Justice and Grey's Anatomy looks interesting so I'll give that a try as well.

"Grey's Anatomy" doesn't look like it'll be that good. The only reason I might check it out is because the actress who played Isabel on "Roswell" is in it, and "Roswell" was one of my favorite shows in highschool. It's good to see actors from that show in other things now (the actress who played Tess on "Roswell" is on "Lost" now).

But anyway, back on-topic, "Eyes" looks like it'll be really great!
Can't wait.

The NY Daily News loved it. Here's (http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/story/294501p-252160c.html) their review.

I especially like this part:

Daly, as rogue investigator Harlan Judd, plays a guy who's having fun in every facet of his job - and looks, in playing the part, to be doing the same.

With good reason: Daly's Harlan is the most playfully lovable private eye since Bruce Willis burst onto the scene as David Addison in "Moonlighting."

OK, I was never a fan of "Moonlighting" (give me Pierce Brosnan any day of the week!), but I definitely get the comparison.

And this (http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/tv/mmx-0503300059mar30,0,6435711.story?coll=mmx-television_heds) is from the Chicago Tribune:

"Eyes" has enough plot lines for two or three series, topped with a stunner of a closing cliff-hanger Wednesday. Speedy and amusing, the drama is ABC's latest gambit in cagily crossbred genres. Like "Desperate Housewives," "Lost," "Boston Legal" and "Grey's Anatomy," this one takes its base, the detective thriller, and throws in comedy, sudsy romance, sex, serial plot hooks and soft-boiled satire.

But it goes down painlessly, the plot twists so convoluted and fast in coming, there's no time to ponder their frequent distance from reality. Daly, in his best gig since "Wings," is in bachelor high dudgeon, a swaggering hustler/playboy guaranteed to best all bad guys and soon, no doubt, engage in a romance all his own.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram didn't like it. I don't care. I'm watching anyway.

I watched "Eyes" last night and really enjoyed it. Tim's new role reminds me of Joe Hackett, only cooler.....a guy trying to run his own business, surrounded by a bunch of eccentric people...sound familiar?

It's good to have Tim back on weekly television, and I hope that his new series is a hit!

I thought the show was really good - a bit slow paced but that is to be expected from a pilot episode that has to introduce all the characters. The ratings were only so so....

Hopefully they will pick up next week.

"At 10 p.m., NBC's "Law & Order" snagged the top spot with a 9.1/15. A "CSI: NY" rerun posted a 6.2/10 for CBS, while "Eyes" managed only a 5.7/10 for ABC"

I'm really interested to find out what's going to happen to the mole and if Harlan will find out that she killed whatshisname.

Something else about "Eyes"....Unlike Tim's last series "The Fugitive" (which was extremely "heavy" and serious), "Eyes", although basically a drama, has enough light and humorous parts to appeal to the "Wings" crowd.

I really think that "Eyes" is an excellent new series for Tim!

I thought the show was really good but I'm not to surprised about the ratings considering what its competition is.
