Once again, the folks at the WB failed to recognize that a show that's been on for nine seasons deserves more attention than just ONE episode on a compilation disc! :soapbox:

Yeah I know just the simple fact that Urkel was very popular in the 90's should have been enough to release it by seasons on DVD.

It's the syndication version with the short "Days Gone By" themesong rather than the "What A Wonderful World" (Louie Armstrong) song.

I'm very dissapointed that it's edited.... but hopefully this is to just tease people into buying a season set.

I hate the Wonderful World theme anyway. It just doesn't feel right.

Which episode is on the bonus disc anyway? Is it from the first season?

It's the pilot "The Mama Who Came to Dinner"

My guess would be a full season should be on DVD by the end of this year, just my guessing though.

If it is the pilot, then it should have the original theme song then.

Yep! The episode "The Momma Who Came to Dinner" did have the syndicated opening "Days Go By". That opening was on WPIX occasionally. ABC Family also aired the same episode with a different theme song by Louis Armstrong.:)

Hey Pav, do you think that if Warner Bros. does release a season set of Family Matters by the end of the year, will the bonus disc still be included in the Fresh Prince set? Not that I want a bonus disc, I'm just wondering for this show and for the sake of the other shows included in the DVD compilations. If the bonus disc is going to be included in the set for at least a year, I don't think there's any chance that Family Matters will be released as a season set this year.

Cool to see, at least, one episode of Family Matters on DVD!! However, we want the entire season set unedited!!!! I remember those fond days of coming home from junior high school just looking forward to TGIF's lineup of Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers and Just the Ten of Us during the 89/90 season!!! :D
