Here are mine (more than 5, I know, but oh well...): Johnathan Cain (Journey), Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Elton John, Sarah McLachlan, Billy Powell (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Neal Doughty (REO Speedwagon), and by no means last in my heart (LOL), Josh Groban!

OMG same here...and Billy Joel too, for heaven's sake LOL! Kinda like with the guitarists--I like toooo many to remember them all at once! :crazy:

I agree with many of y'all's choices but there is one pianist/organist that no one has mentioned that I just love to listen to... Rick Wakeman of Yes! OMG he has a PH.D. in Musicology and he could play a piano or organ that could make you cry! Another pianist/organist that I think is the bomb is Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. I also like the stylings of Verden Allen of Mott the Hoople. The keyboards in these groups were tight, lending themselves to a sounds so phat it defied catgorization in the music world. These three groups were a genre unto themselves IMHO. And part of the reason was the keyboardists, adding a classical flavor to rock and roll. Just listen to Yes's "Roundabout", ELP's "Pictures at an Exhibition", or anything off the Mott the Hoople Album "All the Young Dudes" and you will see what I mean.
