Haven't seen any threads on this new show; maybe I just missed them somewhere. Has anyone been watching this show? I believe only three episodes have been broadcsat thus far.

I have been watching and find the show to be very entertaining.

Thoughts?

I've seen Medium mentioned over on the Moonlighting board, I guess because both shows were created by Glenn Gordon Caron.

I hadn't expected to like this show much but I watched the first episode just to see what it was about. I actually like it, and I've watched all three episodes that have aired so far.

I think the thing about it that sets it apart from most TV dramas is that we don't see the main characters in pre-packaged form. I mean, we learn about them gradually even as Allison is learning more about herself and her "gift" as she adjusts to her new job. The only other current drama in which I've seen this is Lost. It requires some patience on the part of the viewer, but I find it far more engaging than being told up front with a full pilot episode of exposition precisely who each character is and what we can expect to see from them each week.

So far, it's well done. I'll be watching tonight.

Yes, we have been talking about this over on the Moonlighting board. I agree this is so far a very good show. I think the second episode that aired, "Suspicians and Certainties" is possibly the single best written hour of television I have seen in the 2004/2005 TV season. Here is a link to the thread with the Medium discussion over on the Moonlighting board: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=128794

I hope NBC does not move it to Friday Nights next fall 2005. If Third Watch ends, I have the feeling Medium will get shifted to Fridays because they will want a new show on Mondays.

Boy last night's episode "In Sickness and Adultery" was another really great episode. This is one cleverly written show. I know I will keep watching.

I like the show. The only problem that I have is that her family life is boring the hell out of me!! I waiting for her to discover what her dreams or visions mean and then we get this husband and wife stuff! Any way I thought that defense attorney in that episode where she was force to testify was going to piss in his pants when she told him his business!!! Did you see the look on his face!!!!

That was priceless.

I agree this is one of the best shows to come out this season. It combines the traditional crime show with the paranormal. It looks like a hit and I'm glad for Glenn Gordon Caron because his last show Now And Again got the shaft by CBS. That still angers me.

I really like this show a lot. I started watching it because Caron is a genius. Moonlighting is my favorite show of the 80s and one of my top 10 all-time. Now and Again was also very good. This just shows what difference a producer can make, no matter the premise.

Why doesn't this show have a thread of it's own???

Did anybody catch Donny Deutch interview the real Allison DuBois? I was flipping back and forth and it was pretty interesting.

This show has got me hooked already! I love it. I saw the real Alison DuBois on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. She seems really nice.

A lot of people seem to like this show, but not much discussion is to be found for it online. I guess most of its viewing audience are people who don't frequent message boards.

I enjoyed the finale although it ending on a "to be continued" kind of sucked.

In my opinion, the shows stinks. I only watched it last night because of the episode being in 3D. It really didn't make much of a differance at all with the glasses. 'Ghost Whisper' is way better than 'Medium'. I would say that the only reason that I may watch channel 4 is for 'DOOL'. And even with that, the show is getting really tired with their story lines.

My wife loves the husband. She wants me to be more understanding, just like him. I think he's okay but I don't want to be like him. I like me!!

I completely agree with you. I honestly think that Patricia Arquette is one of the worst actresses to have her own show. The fact that she won an EMMY for her acting is just an indication of how whacked Hollyweird is.

I've only seen one episode and it was HORRIBLE. I agree that "Ghost Whisperer" is better but I've only watched that once too, because I do other things on Friday nights. (Isn't that when it was on?)

The best show, by far, that dealt with this "woman sleuth with powers" idea was "The Profiler" from the late 1990's with Ally Walker. I REALLY liked that show.
