View Full Version : Why the Lake? apple cheeks 01-24-2005, 06:57 AM Alot of people who like the Wonder Years, list The Lake as one of their favorite episodes.I dont understand what was so wonderful about this episode,so if anyone likes The Lake, could you tell me why you do so? Belair 01-24-2005, 07:55 AM I dont know.I liked the Lake too.It was just a good episode. Fletch05 03-25-2005, 06:16 PM One of the reasons why The Lake was a popular episode for Kevin, was because it created a bridge between the innocent, childish Kevin, and the more mature Kevin of the High School years. Also, it gives us a look at Kevin having a relationship with someone other than Winnie. Just like in the Triangle, we see Kevin's heart going out to another woman. blair 07-30-2005, 11:25 AM I like that episode because it showed some rebellion on Kevin's part; he smoked, and made out with a girl that wasn't Winnie. Belair 08-19-2005, 01:57 AM I agree with you, blair. Kevin showed a more rebellious side, although I preferred him as geekier. Unscarred 04-04-2006, 08:06 PM ^I preferred geeky kev too. And the Lake was alright; not the greatest episode. Although I love the scene where Cara is in the back of the truck drinking beer and they close up on it and then close up on Kevin and his bottle of... I dunno, probaly cola or something, haha. James 04-09-2006, 10:36 PM Although I love the scene where Cara is in the back of the truck drinking beer and they close up on it and then close up on Kevin and his bottle of... I dunno, probaly cola or something, haha. Cara was drinking beer? I thought she had cola like Kevin. Somehow I think of Dr. Pepper when I think of the scene with the "When I was a young boy" song and the two take turns drinking their respective sodas. |
