I just read that Johnnny Carson passed away this morning. He was 79. He had emphysema. I can't thank Johnny enough for his love and encouragement for Freddie Prinze. Thank you Johnny we will miss you!

I wonder if Johnny was able to see the walk of fame ceremony when Freddie got his star, probably not in person but i wonder if he saw it.

A lot of great entertainers today owe their start to Johnny Carson. Next to Ed Sullivan, he was the greatest promoter of new talent out there. I watched an interview Larry King did with Ed McMahon back about two years ago concerning The Tonight Show and Johnny. It was amazing from the discussion and the clips how much this man has infulenced the face of Hollywood today by what he did back then.

I know that Freddie always had a warm spot in his heart for Mr. Carson. I think that might be one of the reasons he was so willing to fill in for him, guest hosting several shows. Most people find it difficult to agree with the movie and TV critics out there, but I know that people tended to agree with Johnny's choices of talent. When Johnny loved you, the whole world did. What a break that was for a young 19 year old comedian from Washington Heights back in Dec of 73.

I recently picked up a commerative Edition "Johnny Carson. Farewell to a TV Legend. Freddie was pictured with Johnny. Here they are together.
