Well I noticed that Jay's Game Show Page said "Bob Barker has signed on for an additional year of "The Price is Right." I thought Bob Was retiring. Anyone?

Bob's retirement is merely pure speculation. He has a year-to-year option to call it quits. He said in an interview that as long as he can come through the big double doors with a spring in his step, he'll keep doing the show.

One post I read at another board said if Bob goes, so, too is "Price". There have been rumors that Todd Newton could succeed Bob as host, but I pray to God, CBS doesn't cancel the long-time show so it can send the hour back to its affiliated stations nationwide.

Yes,Bob Barker WILL be back for his 33rd year. When he finally does retire you know CBS will pull it off the air as fast as they can so that local affilates can put on somthing dumb and/or stupid(Like Tony Danza or Live With Regis and Kelly).

Actually... I'm not sure The Price is Right would be the same without Bob. It's been so long since we've seen the show without him that I just don't know. I for one don't think it'll be a hit and as talked about as it is today.
