I knew I liked you.
Brian Damage 01-19-2005, 08:56 PM I'm convinced now more than ever that NOBODY is beating the Pats.

Hehe. I think Roethlisberger is the best rookie quarterback we've seen since Dan Marino, but his run stops here. Patriots are unbeatable. Plus we saw some of Big Ben's rawness last weekend. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/attachment.php?s=&postid=2012217

New England sure looked impressive against the Colts, but remember the Colts are a dome team not used to playing in foul weather. If the Steelers can get their running game going with Staley and Bettis and keep Brady and Co on the bench, hopefully they will have a chance.

That is the same thing I was telling people. Roethlisberger got exposed like the rookie he is against the Jets. That is the key here. Tom Brady and the Patriots are smelling blood right now. It is also going to come down between the running backs. Corey Dillion is in better shape than Jerome Bettis. Bettis to me looked winded as the game went on against the Jets.
Seinatra 01-20-2005, 03:29 PM Eagles 27 Falcons 14
Patriots 24 Steelers 13
But who knows.

Bettis to me looked winded as the game went on against the Jets. How was Roethlisberger exposed? He threw two bad passes for ints and one wasn't his fault. Plaxico Burress ran a wrong route. Ben looked pretty impressive to me on the overtime drive he directed..Yeah maybe he's a rookie, but i've watched alot of "Veterns" play alot worse. Whatever the outcome may be, i think the Patriots and the Steelers are the two best teams in the NFL and this week to me is the Super Bowl.

No it wasn't his fault. He looked very shaky throughout the game. You said it yourself, on the overtime drive he got on track. A lot of veterans have played worse, Chad Pennington was horrible in that game. I do believe Ben R. will play a much better game on Sunday in an evenly matched game, but I predict the Pats in a close one.
Janice 01-22-2005, 02:42 PM Anyone else going to make a pick?
Eagles over Falcons 17-10
Pats over Steelers because the Steelers suck.
;)
Mr. Television 01-22-2005, 02:50 PM New England over Pittsburgh
Atlanta over Philadelphia
TVFactFan 01-22-2005, 07:12 PM Even though I want the Eagles to lose, i just don't see it happening. Atlanta has done nothing all season to make me believe they have a chance tomorrow. I will be stunned if it's a Atlanta/Pitt SB.

The only thing I'm worried about is the weather. If its real bad then I think Philly will probably win.

Mr. Television 01-23-2005, 07:00 PM Well this sucks. It looks like the Eagles are going to the SB. I am now going to be the biggest Patriot fan ever because I can't stand the Steelers and if they win I'd be force to root for them in the SB.

I thought the game would be a little closer, but as usual the Steelers choke in the championship game :( A deals a deal Janice.....GO PATRIOTS!!
dlemond 01-24-2005, 04:51 PM The Pats are a true team and I if I was a fan I couldn't be prouder.
The thing is I don't like the Pats or the Eagles.
I hate the Eagles and I hate Bill Belichick.
But I hate the Eagles fans more.
Go Pats.
Dynasty in our eyes, Hall of Fame for Brady.
Snoozer of a Super Bowl though.
At least Carolina was a great foil- even if they lost.
Janice 01-24-2005, 07:42 PM GO PATS!
