I loved how she affected all three of the main characters lives. So I think it would've really fit if she had come back one more time, maybe around 1994, right before Joe and Helen's engagement. Throw in a monkey wrench like that, and have it affect Helen in a different way now. Plus maybe torment with Brian and Alex's thing by having Carol lead him on.

I think that if Carol HAD returned, it would have had the same "one time too many" feeling that subsequent appearances of Sandy Cooper and Carlton Blanchard had.

Carol's two-episode appearance served a very useful and important purpose to the series....it helped to "heal the wound" that existed between Joe and Brian over Brian stealing Carol away from Joe. Now that both brothers knew what a terrible person she really was, they could move on with their sibling relationship and with their lives.

Nah, they showed her enough times, although I'd rather have seen her one more time than Sandy Cooper. One episode was enough for her, IMHO.

Nah the stuff with her Joe and Brian was settled so she had no more purpose on the show. I wouldn't have minded if she had, maybe to try to "tempt" Joe before his wedding to Helen, not that I wanted her to succeed ;)
