Announcer: On an all-new Desperate Housewives, Next Sunday at 9/8 Central on ABC

TV Guide website:

Like Father, Like Son? That's a question Tom must ask himself when his travelling-salesman father(Ryan O'Neal) drops in for a visit and Lynette catches her father-in-law with a "business associate" who's missing some of her underwear. Susan finds Julie in a situation not nearly as compromising with Zach, but it's just as troubling, and speaking of young love, John's parents(Kathryn Harrold, Mark Harelik) have a favor to ask of Gaby. Meanwhile, Rex wants to reconcile with Bree, but all she wants is the country club membership.

TV Tome:

When Lynette's father-in-law (guest star Ryan O'Neal as Rodney Scavo) pays a visit to to the family, she unwittingly learns a family secret. Meanwhile Susan is disturbed by Julie's growing romance with Zach, Rex attempts to reconcile with Bree, and Gabrielle is shocked when John's parents (guest stars Kathryn Harrold and Mark Harelik) ask her for a favor.

Good episode...didn't feel like it was as good as the other episodes though :talk:

Nothing that really left a cliffhanger for me...except the Dana situation...and Lynnette's husband's secret

Well, yeah, maybe it did stop on some cliffhangers but they didn't seem too big of cliffhangers.

Great episode. I think Zack and Julie are cute, good to know that Zack didn't kill anyone, and Dana's still alive  Zack even scared me when he freaked out on Susan

Wow I thought George was gonna stalk Bree, now looks like he might try to kill Rex

I bet Tom had an affair, that's what I figured by the look on his face when Lynnette said she'd leave him and take the kids if he ever cheated.

ATTENTION WEST COAST---SPOILERS

Good episode! I'm very concerned about George. Like Lola Dane said, I think he might attempt to kill Rex The whole diner scene was very eerie to me.

I think Susan is right in what she did with Zack. She doesn't know that Zack didn't kill Dana and if I was in her position I'd be scared to death.

I can't believe Tom cheated on Lynette

The Gabrielle storyline was rather blah tonight not that it was bad but just not as exciting as the other ones.

Yet more answers in this episode. We know "Dana" is alive and "probably" Zach didn't kill her. Never trust Paul, he could be lying.

Maybe Tom is having a gay affair, lol? George is evil. I think Gabby and John will get back together. Where is Mama Solis???

Of course he is. And then to get back, Lynette will start her own gay affair with the only free woman on Wisteria Lane.

In your dreams :p

I loved this episode. The three high points for me were the Peyton Place connections, the way Bree was shaking her groovething at the dance and Gabrielle's line about John's apartment: "The only decoration in the bathroom is a bong!"

OH STFU YOU KNOW IT COULD HAPPEN. It'd be interesting to say the least. Seriously, they should just kiss once and leave it at that. And then they'd always have some weird tension.

Where is Mama Solis???

In a coma.

I felt this episode was actually rather medicore, compared to most of the other episodes. Nothing really seemed to happen although I realize quite a bit did. I just did not do much for me. Still enjoyable, though.

Yep, the one that's on tomorrow night is called "Your Fault." Last weekend's was "Move On."Not to nitpick, but Move On was two weeks ago. Last week's episode was called Every Day a Little Death. I only noticed because each of the last three episodes had the same title as a Sondheim song. In fact, looking at an episode list I'm seeing that all of them are named for songs: most of them are show tunes and six of those are by Sondheim. Interesting. Marc Cherry must be a fan of stage musicals.

NFL AFC Championship Game who?

“Desperate Housewives” (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
The No. 1 TV series of the night, ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” drew its second-
largest audience ever (25.9 million). The ABC drama also posted its second-
highest-ever ratings across each of the key women demographics: Women 18-34
(12.9/28), Women 18-49 (14.6/28) and Women 25-54 (16.0/29). ABC won the hour,
beating CBS’ football coverage, in all three women measures.

* Despite the increased competition this week, “Desperate Housewives” was up by
1.8 million viewers (25.9 million vs. 24.1 million) over the prior week and held
100% of its Adult 18-49 audience (11.1/22).

It would have been interesting if they had gone with a new episode during the Super Bowl, but they'll air a rerun at 10pm (for the next two weeks).

it would've got killed if they did that...good thing they are airing repeats. Do you know if a new ep will air during Grammy night?

DH held it's own against the high rated AFC Championship game, so I think against the Super Bowl it would have done decent, too. The Grammys are Feb. 13, right? If so, a new DH will be on. Expect DH to romp it, like it did with the Golden Globes.

I don't think Dana is alive for one minute. Paul said his story to Susan and told a different one to Zach. Neither one is true in all parts. If my son was having an affair the last thing I would do is ask his older girlfriend for help. But I guess John is bent of shape that the whole thing has exploded.

Repeats this Saturday at 10pm ET/PT. It's the only episode I don't have recorded(except for a few way back in October), so I'll be watching. I only saw it once while I was on vacation with the sound low so I wouldn't wake everyone.

Ugh... major severe weather outbreak beginning to unfold south of here, should be here just in time for the repeat. Somebody doesn't want me to get this episode recorded.

Looks like I'm gonna get lucky... got a bit stormy here about an hour ago, but it's just raining now and radar shows cooperative weather through 11pm at least. The warnings are still back to the west and shouldn't be here for awhile.
