phoebe7165 01-16-2005, 10:56 AM Anywhere in Europe. I love Europe!! I've already been just about everywhere in the US. My sister & I are planning a trip to Germany & Austria for next year mainly to see Neuschwanstein Castle. I would love to go back to Paris in the near future, too.
Mijada 01-16-2005, 11:18 AM I've already been to Europe and I would love to visit Australia someday. I'd also like to see more of the US.
Kay Scarpetta 01-16-2005, 12:10 PM Australia. I'd really love to study abroad there for a year.
Other than that, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy... anywhere in Europe.
PZelda 01-16-2005, 12:25 PM I've already been to London, England and would love to visit England again but this time see more than just London.
I would also love to travel to Germany - we were planning on that when we traveled to England last year, but it didn't happen. I would basically love to see all of Europe and the UK. :)
~*Dailey'sGurl*~ 01-16-2005, 02:50 PM I'd love to visit all the 50 states..... I would also love to go to Jerusalem, Switzerland, well, like most of you, anywhere in Europe
Sara Micelli 01-16-2005, 03:05 PM I want to return to Hanoi, Vietnam. I would also like to go to Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, Austria, Germany and Israel.
*MIBabe03* 01-16-2005, 03:19 PM England. Or maybe Ireland.
Janet McFarland 01-16-2005, 03:26 PM I haven't really been anywhere in the United States so I'd like to go to Boston, California, Texas, Vermont, and Florida again. I've always wanted to go to Europe, especially Italy. I'd also like to go to London and Spain.

I live in Texas and it's not all that great. The people around here are hicks and that's about it. Also it's always freaking hot here, and that gets annoying. During the summer, I'll wake up early to go out for a walk and it will be over 80 degrees outside. It sucks.

You guys are lucky though. I love that hot weather in the summer. I'll probably never go to Texas but I'd still like to visit :)
Raven-Symone 01-16-2005, 04:17 PM well I really love to virited London, England and I will love to virted New York to.

San Antonio is pretty neat though. I also like Downtown Fort Worth.
MissZero 01-16-2005, 05:11 PM Unlike most of you, I'm not too crazy about Europe but I would like to visit Poland, Italy, and Greece.
I would like to see Australia.
In Asia I want to see the Great Wall in China, Tokyo, India and Nepal, and various Middle Eastern countries
In Africa I would like to go to Egypt, Morocco, some central African countries, and South Africa
Plus I want to visit every state...theres not many things I want more than to see the world
Czas na Zywiec 01-16-2005, 05:55 PM Go back to Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and England and then visit Spain, Italy, and Hungary. I'm going to do my study abroad program for a year in Germany, so I've got that covered. I also want to swing up north and hit up Helsinki/Talinn/St. Petersburg.
vienna waits 01-16-2005, 06:02 PM St. Petersburg.

Czas na Zywiec 01-16-2005, 06:12 PM ooohh cool. That's in Russia where Crime and Punishment takes place.
Yea, it's an amazing place and totally different than what you would imagine of typical Russia. The Venice of the North is what the nicknamed it. I have a buddy who's living there now while he's going to school and a friend of mine visited him last summer and said it was like nothing she's ever seen before. Plus, I can understand about 1/2 of spoken Russian, so it shouldn't be too hard to get around.
Karen* 01-16-2005, 06:37 PM I want to travel the whole world baby! Just kiddin, but poor me, I haven't even gone on an airplane yet! I would love to visit Hawaii, England, Ireland, Spain, Japan, Australia, Canada, and probably the rest of Asia and Europe. I would also love to visit every state in the US. We have a lot of diversity in this country and I'm interested in learning more about it.

MissZero 01-16-2005, 07:41 PM I neglected to mention some other places
Central and South America - I would love to visit all these places. Especially to see the Andes and tour the remains of the Aztec and Mayan empires. I also think it would be amazing to experience the culture and not to mention those Latino guys

Thanks it is expensive, but I have been saving my money; I was lucky when I was a child I had a father that loved to travel, so while I was growing up I got the chance to see the US and Canada :)

Lucky you!! I wish I was able to take a month off to travel(or longer). I check out some of the travel packages and there are some that are 30-45 days long. I mean a month in one country wouldn't be too bad but when you're doing 10+ countries would probably be a little too much for me.
Brian Damage 01-16-2005, 11:34 PM I've already been to Italy, France, Greece, Israel, Dubai, Spain and Egypt.
I would love to go to England and Japan.

dawsongirl 01-17-2005, 02:14 AM Los Angeles.
I'd be homesick and stir-crazy if I went to Europe. Plus airplanes over water...panic attack waiting to happen.
dawsongirl 01-17-2005, 02:17 AM I'd love to visit all the 50 states.....
I 100% doubt I'll get to Alaska, and the northeast is pretty unlikely, but I would like to see the states. I'd love to travel Route 66, even if it's not totally there anymore.

My parents love to travel too, so I've seen quite a bit. I was in Hawaii when I was 5. Don't remember much, but I was there.

I was in Hawaii for the first time in 1985; it was wonderful. I had a blast! It was cool swimming in the warm ocean water in the winter time :)

I was in LA on Friday, all I can say that there is the good and the bad when it comes to Los Angeles...

That was the same year I was there!

I'd like to drive thru some neighborhoods and look at the houses. Architecture is so different out there.
Lady T 01-17-2005, 02:34 AM That was the same year I was there!
 Seriously? I was there during Thanksgiving of 1985; my brother was living in Honolulu at the time :)

Yeah, but you can say that of alot of places.
Hey, Lady T, do you travel alot on your own time or are is this for your job? Just wondering.

Good Question..Kinda of both..The trip to Europe is for pleasure and I live close to Los Angeles :)

There are a lot of cool neighborhoods in the LA area, especially in Hollywood Hills. I think my favorite homes are in Los Feliz and of course Beverly Hills ;)

Yep. We were there during the NFL Pro Bowl, so when's that...February?

Beverly Hills would be my first stop. I'm shameless.

Beverly Hills is just too cool, if you can handle the snooty people. I highly recommend if you are ever in the LA area is to take the Star's Homes Tour (if that still exists) I usually take my own tour though ;)

So you've already been over water! It's not that bad. When flying to Europe, depending where you're flying from and to, you're really only over water for 5 hours. Even less if you fly over Canada and Greenland. To Hawaii, you're over the water for most of the flight. Or you can always wear a blindfold. :p

That sounds like a lot of fun. I thought I heard Courtney Cox talk about it on Sharon Osbourne's show last year, so something must exist.
And I can act snotty too if I have to, even if I am from "fly-over country." ;)

 Yeah, but I was just 5...all I remember is a bitchy stewardess that wouldn't let me sit with my mom, getting some pilot's wings, and the story of how I wouldn't go to the bathroom in that little hole in the wall.
Hmm...maybe with a lot of valium and someone to hold my hand. I could sleep thru the whole thing!

Or if you don't care how long it takes there, you can always take a ship. My grandmother took that once during the 80s. Only thing was it took two weeks for her to get here. Ships are probably faster these days, but you don't have to worry about falling into the water. Not as long as you have a spare rowboat or lifesaver or something lol.

2 weeks huh? Um, maybe a plane isn't so bad after all.

Minnesota is pretty. My mom and I went up there a couple years ago in May. It was literally jaw-dropping at the change we saw simply crossing the border from Iowa into Minnesota. The grass and trees were greenier, there were more trees in general. Shocking. But then maybe it had something to do with spring rain, but still....
Dude111 03-15-2023, 10:45 PM I would LOVE going to las vegas and coming off a big winner!!
With my luck I wouldnt get a thing ;(
Yong Fang 03-15-2023, 11:37 PM I love travel, and have done a lot but lack the resources to do so, especially now.
I have been to….
China (and have been in many regions of the country.
Southeast Asia. Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam.
Many parts of the United States. Mexico as a child two or three times, Cayman Islands, as a child.
Zambia, and did cross the border into Zimbabwe by crossing the bridge at Victoria Falls.
——————
I want to go to Europe before I die. Interested in the UK, going to London, Northampton where my ancestors came from. Paris, Italy (for the history) Greece. Going to Norway all the way up and then down Sweden. The Czech Republic. Amsterdam. To see the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea.
Take the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing.
In South America, going all the way to the southern tip of Chile.
Antarctica. To be able to stand at the bottom of the planet, and smoke a joint there. I have said this and was told that wouldn’t be possible because of the cold. Dunno.
Tahiti and Polynesia. Hawaii might be Ok, but it is part of America, the natives supposedly dislike “foreigners” and better beaches probably await in more hospitable countries.
Japan. I want to explore the main islands and the auxiliary islands. Go to Tokyo, see a Sumo match, drink some Japanese single malt scotch.
Indonesia, basically explore many of the islands and the beaches.
India, basically explore that country for about a month or two.
Sri Lanka. Although there are political tensions there now.
I would like to go to Egypt but I have heard the country is a pain in the ass, a lot of bureaucracy, strict laws and many, many touts bothering foreigners to make money from them while they see famous sites. I have heard a lot of negativity about Egypt, but still.
Instanbul Turkey. Just to explore the old city and see various historical sites.
Theda Bara 03-16-2023, 03:09 PM There are so many places I would LOVE to visit; my Top 20

Caroline13 03-16-2023, 03:23 PM My travel desires have NOT been huge, I've done my share in my long life and did a lot of the U.S. due to outside sales position,
I'm now weeding out picture albums of my life and travels...no one wants them when I'm gone. They all served a purpose.
Living in CA for decades has been like being on a working holiday.
