Yeah, it's typical January weather up here in good 'ole ND. When I was still in grade school - high school, sometimes school would have to close because it was too dangerously cold to go outside. They ask that you limit your outdoors activities because even if you bundle up, it still doesn't take long for your legs to freeze. Sometimes I have to go outside and do something for 5 minutes and by the time I get back in, my legs are numb.

It could be a lot worse- this same time last year, it stayed -40ºF (that was WITHOUT the even more subzero wind chills) for about three weeks straight. Luckily, it's not like that this year. Right now here, it's -9 but feels like -28.

We have some snow in Saint Charles. We have not had extra, but it is pretty
cold here-currently 13 degrees.

Well, I guess I got out of there just in time. I was just in ND last Fri. night and it was a balmy 4 degrees.

Brent, you should consider becoming a meteorologist. It seems that weather fascinates you.

I've been interested in weather for 10-12 years now. If I don't become a met, I'll be a weather enthusiast for life.

I'm getting life-threateningly boring temperatures where I live.

If it was that cold in ND, imagine what it was in Canada.

We had -10 or -15 windchills. Cold, but not life-threatening.

Wow, I'm glad it doesn't get that cold here. I don't think I could handle it.

We've had a pretty strange weather pattern so far this winter. On Wednesday the tempetures aproached 60 degrees, and by the next day it was back down into the 20s. The tempetures have been dipping up and down like that throughout the entire fall and winter. I don't think I've ever expierienced below zero tempetures.
