In reference to a familiar TV website, Petticoat Junction to me has jumped the shark the most times of any 60s sitcom.
1. Same Character, Different Actor: When the original Bobbie Jo, Pat Woodell was replaced by Lori Saunders and the original Billie Jo, Jeannine Riley was replaced by Gunilla Hutton and later Meredith McCrae.
2. The addition of Mike Minor as Steve Elliot.
3. Bea Benaderet's death in 1968.
4. More episodes with the cast singing.
5. Betty Jo and Steve get married.
6. June Lockhart joins the cast as Dr. Janet Craig.
7. The birth of Kathy Jo.
