Anyone see the new pricing game on The Price is Right yesterday? It's called Pocket ¢hange. You earn pocket change for a chance to win a new car.
There are twenty (20) envelopes on the board. Each envelope has 'pocket change' inside it. Three of the envelopes contain no pocket change at all. ($.00). You guess the price of the car from five of the six numbers on the board. For every number you get right, you earn more pocket change. You start off with $.25 cents. For every response you get wrong, the value of the car increases by another $.25 cents. Matthew, the first contestant who played the new game was penalized up to $1.00 so he had to collect enough envelopes that would total more than $1.00. The bad news: He came up short so his pocket change came to only $.80 cents ohno:
The pocket change ranges from as little as $.05 cents to as much as $2.00. Had Matthew got all five numbers correctly without a miss, he would have a better chance at winning the car but still had to earn enough change totaling $.25 cents or more to win.
I saw the Pocket ¢hange discussion at another forum and several commented that Matthew was holding up the game a bit too long and was annoying the hell out of Bob. He (Matthew) wanted to say hi to his family, friends and the people of the Detroit Fire Department for which he's a fireman. He wanted to say 'hello' to his two cats! :lol: :lol: :lol:
When he got to the first envelope, Bob told him to pull out an envelope. Instead he pulled out the tag card with the pocket change amount and he (Bob) said "Don't pull it out! I tell you! This fireman's going to drive me nuts! I can't get the thing back in and I'm not going to even try! Bob tried putting the card back in the envelope but to no avail.
