Tom, you said BLOWFISH74 sounded familiar? His email address is aquaxchange@aol.com and the reason he sounds familiar probably has something to do with your above email to me when i read a trader check.
Now of course, I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with your recommendation, but if you do know this guy, I sure wouldn't mind if you emailed him and asked him why he seems to be intent on stiffing me!
HISTORY: 1/10-He gets $49 to make DVDS of 10eps "Baby I'm Back"
1/17-He writes to say that he is putting the "finishing touches" on the order and will send it out shortly.
2/9-He answers a status query, saying he had to replace equipment and that he's very sorry but order will be there soon.
2/23-I write to him, pointing out that since my first sitcomsonline order (the one to him) I've made several transactions with others (which is entirely true) and gotten all my stuff, so what is the hold up here? This time I asked him to please give me an EXACT STATUS report on my order.
2/23-He replies that he is "wrapping up" my order and that it has been especially time consuming because he is transferring from VHS to DVD and that he will keep me posted.
At this point, I'm P.O.'d. I've read enough BAD TRADER stories by now to see that this fits the classic pattern of apologetic stalling which usually ends with the seller or trader disappearing altogether.
I wrote to PORKYS1982, whom I have traded with and trust and asked him if the transferrence should take extra long and he said no.
I responded to Blowfish74, telling him that I was frustrated by getting the same answer time and time again with no product and suggesting that if he is unable to fill order that he should cancel and refund and guess what? He's disappeared!
I've filed a claim with PAYPAL and will see how that goes before I start posting BAD TRADER notices, but this is my second such experience it took the U.S. Post Office getting on DONOMIC'S ass about mail fraud to motivate him to refund and apologize and I won't stop short with this guy either if he wants to try and rip me off.
