I actually like Season 1, probably because it was sort of goofy. I liked Sue Ann the best from that time. If FOL gets a DVD release will this be released as Season 1 or will they start with the Nancy McKeon episodes? I can't see very many people buying the 79-80 season.

Season one wasn't that bad, Yeah it was goofy, and the girls all wore halter tops, I never went to a private school, so I dont know what actually went on...
If anything, FOL showed that a sitcom can survive (and do better) after a complete revamping of the cast.

It will be best that they release seasons I and 2 together on one Dvd set.

In my opinion Seasons 1 & 6 tie for best season!

Season 1 was pretty good with the characters and plotlines, but it was also the downside as well: TOO MANY CHARACTERS! It was good for what it was, but if you really look at it, I'll bet it was pretty complicated to come up with a storyline that would feature EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in EACH EPISODE. I mean, they had their limit when they did the major overhaul from 8 cast members to just 5 (and that's including Mrs. Garrett) But still, Season 1 was great.

It wasn't one of my favorite seasons because I get used to it just being the 4 girls and Mrs. Garret. I think my favorite character in season 1 would be Sue Ann. Her and Blair were both born the same year and were both in The New Mickey Mouse Club. My favorite seasons are 5-9 seasons.

Eh, it was ok not my fav tho.
