Does anyone know what to do when it comes to transfering a video off of a tape in the VCR and saving it into a file in the computer?

Does anyone have any ideas on how?

You have to have a TV Tuner card, which allows you to connect the VCR to your tv. then you can transfer the video footage to the computer and make DVDs if you want.

What exactly is a TV Tuner card?It's something you put inside the computer and it allows you to connect a cable connection or other video source to the computer to watch and record live tv. there are external recorders that you connect by USB and at similar to TiVO.
