I saw a listing for Life With Lucy DvD's on Ebay. It is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=617&item=6357095828&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW, and apparently contains extra footage not seen. Iwonder if it contains the scene of Lucy setting up her room from the opening. I tried contacting the seller but no response.
