THE success of smash-hit US TV show Desperate Housewives means viewers will be seeing a lot more of one of its stars.

Teri Hatcher, who shot to fame as Lois Lane in the 90s Superman TV series, has won a behind-the-scenes bra war with producers.

It kicked off when 40-year-old Teri, who has a seven-year-old daughter, said she wanted her character, Susan Mayer, to display more of her ample charms.

Producers vetoed the idea, fearing viewer protests.

But now the show, is a hit, they have given her the thumbs-up.

Teri said: 'I like sheer bras you can see my 'ahems' through - but ABC has a big problem with those.

'But since our show is a hit now, I haven't been getting any notes.'
