I hardly remember the Flo spinoff. It was from 1980 or 81 I think, and I never got to see it much because my father and older bossy sister constantly took charge of the TV.
I heard it had really bad scripts and that is what did it in. I'll bet Linda Lavin loved that!! Wasn't LL supposed to have been a wicked witch to Polly?
I doubt that Flo has ever been shown in reruns. Wouldn't it be a good bonus feature to an Alice DVD set, that is if we are lucky to even get an Alice DVD set.

I seen FLO after receiving eps on VHS about a year ago and it was totally unwatchable to me. The only episode of Flo I'm able to watch is when Mel from Alice makes a guest appearance. Other than that I just keep the other 3 eps in my collection for a perso who may be looking for eps of Flo who never seen it. And No Flo has never been in syndication.

Very true. Linda was horrible to Diane Ladd who was driven to quit after not even doing a full year of the show. On E Diane stated that her experience on Alice was not good. She on the set on Polly Holliday's final episode on Alice. Polly told Diane in a backhanded manner good luck. I understand Linda was difficult to deal on the show because it was "her show" and she was the "star of the show." She projected that image.
The Flo years on Alice were classic and priceless. Every episode was funny. Soon as Flo opened her mouth you would bust up everytime.
The one season with Belle was very good. I love her catch phrase, "My little voice told me....."
Jolene was not good at all and the show went downhill from there.

It sounds like Linda was jealous of her Co-Stars.
I never cared for Belle but I did like Flo and Jolene.

the idea about making flo eps a bonus on future alice dvd is a terriffic one but i doubt that it will fly, judging by the greedy, shoddy sets coming out now (with edited episodes and 13 ep "first season" collections going for the same amount as 22-24 ep "second season" collections of the same series!)
let's all cross our fingers and do our part as customers to let the distributors know we're not gonna pay good money for bad product!

I haven't seen it in years, but I remember watching it when it debuted on CBS. There was so much publicity for the show. I remember not liking it all that much.

The show only did well in it's first season because it aired after Mash.
