There is supposed to be a May 2005 release for One Day At A Time season one on DVD. I think it is only 15 episodes and the best ones weren't even made yet. I hope this set sells so we can get other seasons. I'm actually thrilled to see this show again because I haven't seen it since it went off the air in '83 or '84 when I was only 11 or 12. :happyface

Yep I am going to buy the DVD set of the show. The first season was really bad. I hated the show at first and had a hard time accepting Bonnie Franklin at first. The third season the show hit its stride and so did Bonnie.

Watching Bonnie on Lifetime Intimate Portrait of her she had a strong voice in the storylines and the character. If it wasn't for that the show would not had lasted as long as it did. Pat Harrington stated when she showed up that Monday her script would be marked up and with questions raised on the storylines. MacKenzie Phillips stated as well that Bonnie was in charge and she had a standard and nothing lower than that was unacceptable.

Thank you Bonnie!!!!!

Why did you have a problem accepting Bonnie at first?

I haven't heard from TVShowsONDVD.com about a May release, but that sure would be great if it's true. I'm definitely buying it. I also hope it sells well in order to prompt future releases.

The flyer in the What's Happening Second Season dvd set listed season 1 of One Day At A Time as "coming soon" but it still hasn't been officially announced yet. I'll definitely get it, if they stop taking so damn long to release it, lol.

The first season shows were not that great and I thought iniatially she overacted. I was still in the Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett and Valerie Harper era. But the show did grow on me as well as Bonnie. I developed a crush on her especially when she cut her hair and spruced up her looks.

Still waiting for this. Sony generally makes their official announcements early Monday morning approximately 10 weeks before the release date. So with their official announcement today of AITF 4 and Jeffersons 3, the earliest this will come out is April 19. If it's coming out in May, we should definitely hear something official in the next month, hopefully.

They really dropped the ball on this release....with the reunion special airing on february 22, season one should have hit the streets the same day with a commerical running inside the special......also as stated in a previous post, season one is a limited 15 episode season and it doesn't best respresent the series....This should have been released as a seaosn one and two boxset combined.....I am a BIG fan but I know this is a hard sell and we probably won't see further seasons....I hope it at least goes to season 3 or 4.....I much prefer full season releases but maybe a best of collection might have been better if it means we won't see anything released past season one. Or better yet, just a best of Barbara Cooper set featuring nothing but the adorable Valerie Bertinelli...but there I ago again reliving my never ending teenage crush!!!!
