Angelina Jolie could be Mallory, as she kind of resembles JB, and Nicole Richie could be Jennifer. Martha Stewart could be Elyse and James Brolin could be Steven. Ben Affleck could be Alex (he has magically grown a foot, lmao. :D ) and Matt LeBlanc could be Skippy. And finally, Tom Cruise could be Nick.

(yes, I know:all Disney Channel stars. But they could pull off the looks.)

These are who I think would be good candidates for Family Ties:

Steven Keaton: Bryan Cranston (the dad from Malcolm in the Middle)- He would make a funny Steven Keaton, and would really pull off the nuances that the orginal Michael Gross was famous for)

Elyse Keaton: Joan Van Ark (Drama is in her blood, and she would really make a great Elyse Keaton when it comes to those scenes where Elyse gives these angry soliloquies to Alex- remember the Birthday boy episode and the Alex doesn't live here anymore episodes?)

Alex P. Keaton- Look no further than That 70's Show for the perfect Alex- TOPHER GRACE (He would really make a great Alex- the attitude and the looks)

Mallory Keaton- Rachel Bilson (just look at her character from the O.C.- definite Mallory, only smarter)

Jennifer Keaton- Jamie Lynn Spears (she's got the looks and also the voice- remember Jennifer's band?)

Andrew Keaton- Forest Landis (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was the boy with the frogs on "Cheaper by the Dozen"- he was so cute and you actually shed a tear for him. I know I did)

For supporting Characters:

Skippy Handleman- someone offbeat and crazy like Matthew Lillard. I can see him as the offbeat neighbor. Kinda like his cup of tea

Nick Moore- Someone handsome, rugged and smooth like...Nick Lachey!

James Jarrett (Alex's black adversary, didn't think anyone would remember him, eh?)- None other than Deon Richmond. He can pull it off.

Ellen Reed- the beautiful talented Piper Perabo (If you checked her out in "Cheaper by the Dozen", you see why she is a good choice as Ellen)

Lauren Miller- Elisa Dushku- Lauren was a strong female in "Family Ties" and Elisa would be perfecxt for the role. Look at Tru Calling, for goodness sakes, or Bring it On- she faked those other cheerleaders out)

Jake Wakefield (Mallory's first boy-toy)- Look no further than the amiable yet sweet Hayden Christensen

And don't forget about Gus, Steve's co-worker- Ving Rhames (I don;t know what my fascination is with this guy, but he's a good one for the role of Gus, especially when Gus's family was harassed for moving into the neighborhood- Gus really handled himself well and was a good actor)

These are my suggestions of who should play whom, kill me later or rebuke me for making the choices that I made, but we all ahve our own opinions, do we not? What do you all think?

ELYSE KEATON -- Bonnie Hunt (the perfect TV mum. She'd be able to pull off Elyse beautifully)

STEVEN KEATON -- *I don't know yet*

ALEX P. KEATON -- I definately agree with the above post. Topher Grace would be PERFECT as Alex. :D

MALLORY KEATON -- Mandy Moore (She's pretty, she can act and I'm pretty sure she could do a clueless Mallory sort of character.)

JENNIFER KEATON -- Hilary Duff (LoL. She can sing and I'm pretty sure, if she tried, she could act like more than just a dumb teenager. Just curl her hair ala 80's style and you got yourself a Jennifer.)

ANDY KEATON -- *I don't know yet*

SKIPPY HANDELMAN -- Adam Brody. (Look at him in The OC! Can't you just picture him as Skippy. He's got the nerd thing down and He even reminds of Skippy with the stupid things he says. Plus he pines for a girl he knows just like Skippy. Just grow his hair and give him some glasses on and you got a Skippy look alike.)

NICK MOORE -- *I don't know yet*

ELLEN REED -- I agree with the above post that it should be Piper Perabo.

LAUREN MILLER -- *I don't know yet*

and if Gus was in it, definately Bernie Mac. :D
