Life After Keith

This sitcom is about a recently widowed woman who now has started to return to her regular lifestyle (6 months after her late husband, Keith has died of a heart attack). Candice Bergen plays Dr. Roz Sheffield, a 52 year old marriage counselor. Roz and the late Keith had three children: Dana, 28 (Christina Applegate), Andrew, 24 (Ben Savage), and Ashlee, 21 (Ashley Johnson). Roz's best friends: Terri (Debra Jo Rupp), Vicki (Barbra Streisand), and Marie (Bette Midler). Terri is a recently divorced mom of a grown son. Vicki is a true bachelorette(who never married). Marie is a thrice divorced mom of two college-aged daughters. Roz, Marie, Terri, and Vicki get together every Friday night for girls-night (yet they get together often during the week/weekend). Like mentioned, Roz is a marriage counselour. Terri is a receptionist (at a dentist's office), Marie is a cosmotelogist, and Vicki is a sex therapist. Roz lives in her (and Keith's) house with 24-year old Andrew and 21-year-old Ashlee, as Dana lives across town in her own apartment.

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Roz goes back to working as a marriage counselour after taking a while off after Keith's death. Dana, Andrew, and Ashlee secretly plan a surprise 52nd birthday party for their mom with help from Terri, Vicki, and Marie.

Ep2: Surprise Roz:
It's Roz's surprise birthday party. Roz is truly impressed by how everyone kept the secret and how the party has turned out so great-yet wishes Keith was around to celebrate it with her. The kids remind her that Keith will always be with them (in their hearts, thier minds, and watching over us), which cheers up Roz.

Ep3: Ladies' Night Or Weekend:
Roz, Vicki, Marie, and Terri go to a spa resort for a weekend of pampering. Vicki ends up giving a 40-something couple some advice on 'how to put the spark back into their marriage'. Terri reveals she and her hubby, Greg are divorcing, resulting in Marie reflecting on her three failed marriages.

Ep4: Andrew's Got A Girl:
Andrew is hiding the fact that he has a girlfriend from his mom and sisters-who would embarrass him. Andrew and his girlfriend, Lacey (Lindsay Sloane) are caught out on a date by Roz, Dana, and Ashlee while going to a chick-flick at the movie theater.

Ep5: Marie's Daughters:
Marie's 21-year-old daughter, Jamie (Alyson Hannigan) and 23-year-old daughter, Laura (Laura Prepon) pay a visit to Marie. Jamie and Ashlee (who are old classmates) go hangout at the mall together. Laura and Andrew connect on an unique level, leaving Andrew question his loyalty to Lacey.

Ep6: Availability?:
Vicki learns her former lover, Richard (Tom Selleck) is in town and wants to meet up with her. As she meets up with him, she learns Richard wants to get engaged to Vicki-who is astonished, flattered, and shocked. Yet, Vicki turns him down. Richard is heart-broken-until he bumps into Marie after his lunch with Vicki. Richard and Marie go out for supper-this makes Vicki jealous in an odd way.

Ep7: That's A No-No:
Dana and her current boyfriend, Pete (Jason Priestly) are secretly hiding the fact that they are living together (in sin!) from Roz. Roz finds out -through the grapevine- and is upset (not that they are living together) that they didn't tell her earlier. Pete is relieved, yet Dana is concerned what Roz really thinks about it.

Ep8: Finalizing It All:
Terri and Greg's divorce is finalized, with Terri's lawyer (Teri Garr) and Greg's lawyer (Dixie Carter) by their sides. Terri learns about Greg having a mistress (Kristin Davis) on the side for the past 11 months now. Terri is upset greatly by this. Vicki, Marie, and Roz decide to cheer Terri up by planning a girls-only trip-to Vegas.

Ep9: Viva Las Vegas: Part One:
Roz, Terri, Marie, and Vicki arrive in Vegas. Vicki and Marie compete for the same hunky, rich bartender (Tony Danza). He gives them both his room number and tells them each (separately) to meet him there at 7PM. As they do, they both learn he wanted to have a threesome. Although, Vicki is all for threesomes and think they are perfectly normal, she is not feeling the same way when her friend Marie is involved in it too. (Marie is not wanting to either).

Ep10: Viva Las Vegas: Part Two:
After being "insulted" by that bartender, Vicki and Marie join Terri and Roz in the casino. While doing some gambling separately-Terri wins $14,500, Roz wins $17,000, Marie wins $12,500, and Vicki wins $25,500. The girls are extremely pleased with their winnings and decide to...go shopping Vegas-style. They go overboard and spend the money like their no-tomorrow without any regret. Until they try to pack their souviners into their luggages for the plane ride home (they end up buying more suitcases).
