AARON CARTER'S NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE

Pop star AARON CARTER survived what the teen singer calls a "near death experience" after his car was engulfed in flames early Thursday morning. Carter was driving on a Florida highway on his way to a photo shoot, according to a spokesperson, when a mattress flew off of a truck traveling in front of him. Unable to avoid it, the teen drove his Cadillac Escalade over it, which caused the vehicle to ignite -- and then explode -- after he pulled to the side of the road. Luckily, Carter was able to escape with only minor injuries. "I am so lucky to be alive right now," says the star of the terrifying experience. According to his spokesperson, Carter is recuperating at a friend's house and still plans to travel to Orlando for the photo shoot.

I agree. I was expecting him to be describing floating above is body or something, but what Aaron described wasn't a near death experience, a close call with death, but not an actual near death experience.
