I was wondering if American Idol needs more diversity like having people over the age of 20 and having groups and comedians on their show like the original Star Search from the 1980's and 90's where they had singers and groups and comedians on their show. Anyone agree with me on this??? I think that it would be a better show if they did that.

Actually, I wouldn't like it like that if it were like Star Search, with the groups and comedians. I prefer it as a solo competition.

I like the current format with singers on Idol.. Star Search is Star Search, American Idol is American Idol. No need to mess up a perfectly good show.
