I live in Nebraska, and we've been blessed with great weather until yesterday. That's when the bad weather hit. We're in a winter storm watch until 6pm tomorrow night. I'm in college, but if the public schools close, and my college doesn't, I'm staying home. I don't want anyone I love to risk their lives on the roads! We're supposed to get 9-12 inches total!

We got about 8 inches here in Ohio 2 days before Christmas, (but it all melted) and we're supposed to be getting 4-6 inches overnight tonight, with a lot of ice.

We're getting 1-3 inches tonight here in ol' Detroit...With 3-5" coming tomorrow afternoon, followed by 4-8 inches tomorrow night with light additional accumulations expected Thursday morning...And to top it off, we might get significant ice too, although it is appearing more and more unlikely.

Needless to say, it's going to be one heck of a mess here.

Yeah, we're getting it too. It was snowing lightly this morning and it'll start up again later tonight. We tend to get whatever the Berkshires get so we'll probably get alot of snow.

I took tomorrow off too.

We already have between 4-5 inches on the ground, and it's been coming down fast and heavy. Depending on how much mixed precip we get, snow totals could range from 6 inches in Monroe County, to as much as a foot in Wayne county.

No. We haven't gotten any significant snowfall yet this year.. (the only snow we've gotten was about an inch which melted quickly)

Tonight we're supposed to get about an inch of snow and ice. But I believe its going to be back in the 50s by the weekend...

That reminds me of the time it snowed really hard last year and I had to go to class (it was a Wednesday) and when I got there, I was MIFFED! Two of my classes were cancelled because of the snow, so I only had 1 class that day...I said "screw it, I'm going home anyway" and went home.

Excellence. It's snowing here, but at the moment it's a really fine powdery snow. It's still coming down at a good clip.

NWS says 5-8 inches of new snow tonight, with a little bit more in the morning...Given that the freezing rain doesnt play very big of a part, it could be a little bit higher.

We've got about 5.5" right now.

Our roads are insane too, but it's because half of the people are idiots and drive like it's 75 and sunny. And then they wonder why they slam into the concrete dividers in the middle of the interstate. If you live here, you should know how to drive in it. If not, move to Florida.

There are several inches here in Toledo. I was in Cleveland during Christmas, and on Monday the 27th of last month I went out to Willoughby, Ohio and took some pictures. It's a good thing I did (I got a few of Willoughby Dam), because on the first Sunday of this month, a surge of water and melted snow destroyed the dam.

Today we got 5 new inches of snow on top of the 8 inches of snow and ice we got a few days ago.

About 13 inches on the ground, tomorrow it will begin to fade as the temperature goes above freezing and it begins to rain.
