View Full Version : Mallory's crying BeavisandButthead 01-04-2005, 10:30 PM I thought mal was good at crying. anyone else agree? NCF 01-05-2005, 03:35 PM I agree. I thought Justine gave a great performance when Mallory's favorite aunt dies. snl75 01-12-2005, 04:00 AM she did a great job in that ep. AJP 01-15-2005, 10:40 PM My first post here - although one or two might know me from another MJF forum. Anyway, hello to all. A memorable Mallory crying scene is in the first series when one of Steven's friends at the station frightens her by repeatedly hitting on her. When Elyse finds out, Mallory breaks down. Sentimentalist that I am, it's fairly moving. And no, I'm not a girl and not a gay man either - in another thread someone suggested both were more likely to go for FT than regular guys  BeavisandButthead 02-06-2005, 09:53 PM Although I think her crying scenes were totally overdone in the modeling episode, go Tigers, and finally in that Matchmaker episode too. ~*Emma*~ 02-14-2005, 06:16 AM Her crying was pretty believable in the "Spring Reminds Me (a.k.a.) Rosalie's Legacy" episode where her dead friend's mum is trying to replace her dead daughter with Mallory. I don't know if its just me but I found this episode really sad. :crying: JO jr 11-30-2005, 08:45 PM SINCE I LIVE IN CHICAGO, I AM ABLE TO SEE FAMILY TIES EVERY WEEKDAY. TODAY THEY SHOWED THE MOTHER/DAUGHTER MODELING SHOW; AND I THOUGHT HER CRYING WAS CONVINCING, WHEN TALKING WITH HER MOM, IN THE END. JUST MY OPINION. McFly121 12-01-2005, 01:38 PM She was like an early Kirstie Alley, could cry for comic effect or dramatic. Like in Alex's interview at Princeton, "Jeff....and...and...and....the desk....eh eh eh....kissing." But then when Elyse becomes popular with Mallory's friends, she breaks down in front of all of them in an upset way. Someone mentioned the one where the family aunt dies. I thought that was really poorly handled by the writers, as no one seemed to care but Mallory. Then they threw in a dumb garage sale/funeral reception and then had the priest screw up her name. Pretty insensitive. |
