Wow 10 years ago. I still remember when WB aired nothing but Sister, Sister and The Wayans Brothers. And then they got Buffy, Dawson's Creek and Felicity and everything changed

and UPN seems to be just about the same as it always was... But without even 1 show i would watch, i used to watch UPN for Moesha and Clueless.

My Personal top 10 WB series ever:

1. Felicity
2. Popular
3. Dawson's Creek
4. Savannah
5. For Your Love
6. Popstars
7. Sister, Sister
8. Maybe Its Me
9. For Your Love
10. Charmed

My Top UPN Series:

1. Clueless
2. Moesha

Wow! 10 years would never be the same without UPN and WB the two networks had displaced independent programming. I missed all of the shows that were used to be local.:( It's been around since channels 9 (WWOR) and 11 (WPIX) had been the place for independent programming. I used to watch shows that had been around locally from the time I was born and ended in 1995. Happy 10th anniversary to both networks.

I think the WB has gotten better, but UPN is still bad. I think it's stupid that they took over all those local stations, they got there too late and all the good stations were taken so they should have let it go.

I agree. Over the years the WB has produced some very good shows; some of my favorite shows are WB shows, but UPN is still struggling. Even the Star Trek franchise is in danger of going under.

It is hard to imagine, given UPN's horrible ratings for most of the last ten years, that when Star Trek: Voyager premiered back on January 16th, 1995, it won the night for UPN with a 14.5 rating. UPN beat all the other networks that night. For its second night of programming, however, UPN pulled a much less impressive 5.1 rating.

By comparison, for its first two nights of programming, The WB pulled a 1.9 and a 2.0, respectively.

For the record, during the 1995-1996 season, the highest-rated UPN series was Star Trek: Voyager, which ranked 134th. The highest-rated WB show wasThe Parent 'Hood at 142nd.

Aside from Moesha and Clueless the only other UPN shows i ever watched were a few episodes of The Parkers, Homeboys in Outerspace and a few of their one season shows, like a show with Rosa Blasi (Strong Medicine) about a record company and a show with All My Children's Eva La Rue-Callahan about a dating service...

I miss the local programming on WOR and WPIX.

Me too! Oh, by the way Brian Damage. I looked up on a website called TV ARK, they had clips of the old WPIX and WOR promos and ID's from back in the 70's and 80's. I remember channel 11 was "11 Alive" where they used to show a lot of great shows. If you like to see this section, here are two links to go to this site:

http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/us_wb_wpix.html
http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/us_upn_wor.html

These sites can brings back a lot of memories of these two stations.

Savannah was a great show. The wb made a mistake moving it opposite MNF. Thats when I lost track of it.

These networks, of course, would combine their resources and form The CW.

Here is the final segment of The WB's broadcasting (technically, this coming Saturday will mark the 10th anniversary of The WB's final broadcast):

Meanwhile, I couldn't track down the close of UPN (if I'm not mistaken, UPN didn't have a formal closure and went dark after an airing of WWE Smackdown), so hopefully this may suffice. It's a five-minute tribute to the end of the network from Channel 29 in Minneapolis.

The only shows WB aired that I really cared for were "Reba" & "Buffy".

UPN sucked big time. "Buffy" was the ONLY show I ever watched on UPN.

My favorite Warner Bros. Network (the WB) programs were "Animaniacs" and "Pinky and the Brain" (I had no favorites from the United Paramount Network (UPN). "The Wayans Bros." would had been my favorite too if I had known it was one of their programs (it would eventually become my CW Network program; as part of their daytime programming block).

I do miss the WB Sunday Night line-up of 1995 and 1996. I miss seeing Pinky and the Brain, Sister, Sister, and Kirk...I taped an episode where Kirk Hartman has a real wedding...this show is sooooo underrated! I still hope that there's a DVD release of "Kirk: The Complete Series"...many people are highly opinionated toward Kirk Cameron because of his belief in God, but this series...he wasn't acting fundamental...he even played Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" in one ep!

It gets a little hazy remembering what aired when and which show started where, especially since The WB was both a launching pad and a receiving ground for series that bounced around among networks before becoming another network entirely, bringing some shows with it (like 7th Heaven) and cutting others loose. But briefly, The WB launched on Jan. 11, 1995, with a comedy block that for years was anchored by The Wayans Bros., considered the network's very first sitcom because it aired at 8 p.m. on Jan. 11, Unhappily Ever After, The Parent 'Hood (which premiered a week later) and the short-lived Muscle. Also beefing up the lineup during that first season were cartoons—most memorably the Emmy-winning ...
