I picked up a couple of 88-cent specials, with three episodes each, but the show badly needs remastering...I don't suppose it'll ever get the deluxe treatment?

The 88-cent DVDs you picked up, were they made by Digiview Productions? I bought a Burns & Allen DVD from that company and it was not very good.

The best Burns & Allen DVD that I bought was from the dollar store. The DVDs are called "Burns & Allen", made by Television Classics and there are 3 different volumes. The quality of the picture is good, but they replaced the opening and closing theme music on Vol. 3 with some other song. Finding these DVDs may not be easy. I have not seen them for months, except for eBay.

I saw this other set at an online store:

Has 18 episodes, but I don't know how good the DVD is.
