I don't understand why Gimme a Break and Silver Spoons are not on dvd yet. Those were two of my favorite shows growing up in the 80's. I am sure there are other fans out there such as myself who loved watching these shows. I am sure sales for these two shows would be pretty good if released. I wonder what will it take to get these shows released on dvd.

If I remember correctly, both of those shows were included in the online poll that Sony had a couple of years ago where they listed a number of potential dvd titles and asked people which 5 they'd be most interested in. Maybe neither show got many votes, so they were put on the backburner. There's alot in Sony's catalog for them to go through, I would bet that we'd see dvds for both of those shows eventually. Maybe Silver Spoons more than Gimme A Break, but they could both be released sooner or later.

I think Gimme a Break! is Universal, not Sony.

The Flying Nun/Gidget is also slated for this fall. It baffles me that there has been no word on Facts of Life and Silver Spoons yet.

Those dingbats at Sony seem to think that Silver Spoons won't sell well, so they are very reluctant to release it on DVD. Here's a link to the thread at the Silver Spoons board started by the lady who is trying to convince Sony to release it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=108501

And with Gimme a Break, I have no clue why that isn't out yet. I wish Universal would release it though.
