Those of you young'ins that are new here (and by new, I mean 2002-Present), THESE are the OLD boards from back in my day...

el oh el.. I had forgotten all about those. I remember when the board changed in December of 2001. That was when we got avs, private messages, and all that other jazzy stuff. We also had a ranking of members by how many posts they had.. but people spoiled all of that fun!

WOW... you can even click the boards and see the latest posts. :eek: :lol:

Aw, that isn't so bad! I guess I never realized that you were Joyce DeWitt!(I was Newhart Fan in 2001) There have been so many name changes since then that I forget!:lol:

Wow, yup, I'm a 2002 baby. AWw. And I started browsing here early 2002 so I missed those old ones.

I wasnt registered yet, but I definetly remember those very vividly. I was quite a frequent guest here, even if I didnt post all the way back to July/August of 2001. Like a blast from the past. :lol:

:rofl: i remember that. the boards sucked compared to now. there were like 10 smilies.

I remember the old boards but I don't recall back in late 2001 just two years before signing online as BrooklynGuy78 (now musicradio77). I'm glad that I like to see the all-new message board starting Monday.:)

...And eventually, HTML was allowed. Oh jesus. The things people did with HTML in their sigs.

This is more recent- in the summer of 03, after TJ took away images in sigs, remember when a lot of people put those ASCII images in their sigs? I *THINK* Crystal was one of them. I remember somebody having an ASCII :conan: in their sig. :lol:

yeah, people had 4059760587609547694387686759864928676587602870 line signatures with stupid text pictures.

but what i seriously don't get is why we can't make text form a picture in any way, no matter how short it is.

Aw...I wish I'd found SO a year earlier. I was with Yesterdayland at the time. I started surfing YL in 1999/2000 and started posting on their boards in 2001.

It's so odd seeing the way SO was back then. I barely remember the old board other than the fact that it didn't have as many features. I remember after the board change there were like a billion topics asking how to get avatars. x.x
