I'm so glad NAN is running Cheers again. I forgot how much I loved this show. Being from Boston, I get a kick out of the
Boston references...Red Sox, locations, etc.
Anyway, I notice a Heidi Perlman in the credits. Does anyone know if she's related to Rhea Perlman?
Also, I always see David Angell in the credits. As everyone knows, he was in one of the planes that crashed into the WTC on 9/11. He wrote, directed, was script editor, did just about everything on Cheers and of course, Frasier.
I read his bio and he seemed like a such a nice, talented man, and I get a little sad seeing his name in the credits.

Jan, I just looked up some stuff on Heide and it mentions no relation to Rhea, but a more die-hard Cheers fan may know more.

David Angell worked on Cheers from 83-89 and then left to create his own show with two other Cheers staffers. And if you thought Cheers was good, you should see the Cheers clone he created called "Wings". He hung around there for 3 years, then left to work on Frasier.

And, yes, it's kinda sad to see his name now, but also nice at the same time cuz it reminds us of how much he made us laugh thru his scripts. The actors usually get the credit for being funny, but without writers, it wouldn't be possible.

Heide Perlman is indeed Rhea's sister (their dad, Phil, used to work on the show as well, as an extra). Heide Perlman now works on "Frasier" as a consulting producer.
