I haven't seen it yet. From the previews it looks a lot like Harry Potter. Is it?

No, I can assure you that if it was like HP, I wouldn't have seen it at all:lol:

I didn't like it as much as I would have thought. I thought it would have been one of my favorite movies of the year and it wasn't even close. I liked it, but it certainly wasn't as good as I wanted it to be.

I felt that the movie was really short, I was expecting it to be longer or something.

Do you think you'll see the film? I've read all the books and I think the movie is better than the books.

I've only read the first book. How many are there all together in the series? Is the movie just based on the first book or all of them put together?

There will be 13 books released in the series and I think 12 are out so far. The movie is based on the first 3 books; the Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room and The Wide Window.

There are rumors about a sequel, I don't really believe them since the movie has made $112 million, but their budget was about $125million. Why would they make a sequel to a movie that didn't make any profit?

Well they sort of have to, I mean, theirs still a lot of mysteries to be solved and they left us hanging..plus theyres a lot more books

Well I've read the books so I already know what happened...

I agree, they need to tie up all the loose ends, but I doubt that Emily Browning and Liam Aiken would be playing Violet and Klaus, they would be too old :(
