Superstar 12-27-2004, 06:07 AM Yeah, I think a google search bar would be a good idea Hollow 12-31-2004, 12:51 AM the ebay thing is bad enough. robyrob 02-20-2005, 01:40 PM the ebay thing is bad enough. you can block THAT with firefox's adblock extension :p robyrob 02-27-2005, 10:27 PM I'd really like to see an RSS ("Rich Site Summary" - its a way for web sites to summarize their content, such as news articles or new topics) feed for the site, like the one that the TV Shows on DVD site has :) shamumu 06-22-2005, 09:27 PM test Chelsea 06-23-2005, 08:42 AM Well, the forums now have an RSS feed: Put the following feed link into your RSS Reader http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/external.php?type=rss2 This will allow you to view the last ten posts made without even having to come to the site. (Note for users: You cannot reply to threads via this mode - you must come to SO for that). Advanced Usage: Placing the following text will allow you to download the last ten posts from a specific forum &forumids= Followed by the forum number (examples: Chit Chat is 154, General Sitcoms is 27, TV DVD is 538, and so on..). You can find the forum number by looking for the same tag in the address bar of each forum. Warning: The feed is not the quickest thing to update I've ever seen AT some point, a feed may be set up for the TV DVD reviews, site updates, etc. moeee 06-23-2005, 04:14 PM cool! Isnt a goole searchbar like Gator? where you install it and it leaves a bunch of crap hidden in your computer when you uninstall it? Chelsea 06-24-2005, 12:48 PM Hell. No. The toolbar by Google is one of the relatively few search bars that leaves, to the absolutely best of my knowledge, no malicious software programs (Adware/Malware) on one's computer of any kind. |
