Try Ad-Aware & SpyBot, and see if they get rid of it. Belair 12-26-2004, 07:32 AM Originally posted by I am Roboto Sounds like you've got yourself a spyware problem. You should be able to access the updates section of both programs within the first window. They should both have a "Check for Updates" button - in Spybot, check all the boxes then update. In Adaware, accept the updates. Mossopp 12-26-2004, 02:22 PM I've never had much luck with Spybot, but Ad-aware is pretty good. I have AVG anti-virus too. I downloaded the latest free version of AVG yesterday and scanned my comp with it. It told me that I have 3 "embedded" Trojan Horse virus's but it didn't heal them or send them to the "virus vault" - it just left them where they were. I tried reading the AVG help index but I couldn't find anything that would explain to me why it hadn't actually gotten rid of these 3 virus's it had found. Does anyone have any idea what I can do about this? Does "embedded" mean that the virus is impossible to get rid of? |
