Sounds like you've got yourself a spyware problem. Try Ad-Aware & SpyBot, and see if they get rid of it.

Yes they are FREE and SAFE to use.
They scan the depths of your computer and the memory and clean up pesky spyware that interferes with the normal operation of your computer
You can download them at www.download.com

Also be sure to update the definitions in both programs once you have them both installed. You should be able to access the updates section of both programs within the first window. They should both have a "Check for Updates" button - in Spybot, check all the boxes then update. In Adaware, accept the updates.

I've never had much luck with Spybot, but Ad-aware is pretty good. I have AVG anti-virus too.
I downloaded the latest free version of AVG yesterday and scanned my comp with it. It told me that I have 3 "embedded" Trojan Horse virus's but it didn't heal them or send them to the "virus vault" - it just left them where they were. I tried reading the AVG help index but I couldn't find anything that would explain to me why it hadn't actually gotten rid of these 3 virus's it had found.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do about this? Does "embedded" mean that the virus is impossible to get rid of?
